THE STAGES OF NEWS PRODUCTION FOR THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF YOGYAKARTA REGIONAL PEOPLE'S REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL SECRETARIAT

Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil Sekretariat Dewan Perwakilan Daerah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta beserta Bagian Humas dan Protokol. Tugas akhir ini juga bertujuan untuk menjelaskan salah satu peran dari Bagian Humas dan Protokol yaitu menyampaikan informasi kepada masyarakat. Salah satu cara dalam memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat adalah melalui website resmi DPRD DIY dan akan dijelaskan pula proses pengunggahan berita menuju website resmi milik DPRD DIY. Metode pengumpulan data yang dilakukan penulis adalah studi lapangan dan studi pustaka. Studi lapangan berupa pemberian kuesioner sebagai sumber data tambahan dan wawancara, sedangkan studi pustaka memuat tentang riset artikel, buku, jurnal, dan situs web. Pengumpulan data dilakukan mulai dari 25 Januari hingga 9 April 2021. Semua data yang sudah dikumpulkan, nantinya akan diubah menuju Bahasa Inggris serta akan dimuat ke dalam tugas akhir untuk dapat memenuhi tujuan penulisan. Data disajikan secara deskriptif dalam bentuk paragraph beserta hasil kuesioner yang akan dijadikan data tambahan. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, Sekretariat DPRD DIY Divisi Humas dan Protokol adalah sebuah institusi yang bertugas untuk mengolah informasi mengenai seluruh kegiatan Dewan DPRD DIY. Cara bagian Humas dan Protokol dalam meberikan infromasi kepada publik salah satunya adalah melalui berita yang ada di dalam website resmi milik DPRD. Dalam melaksanakan proses memproduksi berita terbagi dalam tiga tahap, yaitu pra-acara, selama acara, dan pasca-acara. Pada pra-acara, Tim Humas dan Protokol akan melakukan pengecekan jadwal serta menentukan tanggal, kemudian mempersiapkan alat serta tim pencari informasi. Pada saat acara berlangsung, tim pencari informasi akan memotret foto, mengambil video serta melakukan pencatatan informasi seperti melakukan perekaman suara. Kemudian pada pasca-acara, Bagian Humas dan Protokol berperan dalam pengeditan foto, penulisan berita, menulis laporan dan pengunggahan berita. Website DPRD DIY juga mendapatkan umpan balik positif mengenai kelengkapan informasi dan tingkat kepuasan pengunjung berdasarkan hasil kuesioner.

This final project aims to describe the profile of Yogyakarta Regional People's Representative along with the Public Relations and Protocol Division. This final project also aims to explain one of the roles of the Public Relations and Protocol Section which is giving information about the council to the public. One of the ways for giving information to the public is through the official website and will explain the process of uploading news to the official website of the Yogyakarta Regional People's representative. The method of data collection carried out by the author is a field study and literature study. Field studies are in the form of giving questionnaires as additional data sources and interviews, while literature studies contain research articles, books, journals, and websites. Data collection is carried out starting from January 25 to April 9, 2021. All data that has been collected will later be converted into English and will be included in the final project to fulfill the purpose of writing. The data is presented descriptively in the form of paragraphs. Based on the data obtained, the Secretariat of the Yogyakarta Regional People's Representative Public Relations and Protocol Division is an institution tasked with processing information regarding all activities of the council. One of the ways in which the Public Relations and Protocol section provides information to the public is through the news on the Yogyakarta Regional People's Representative's official website. In carrying out the process of producing news, it is divided into three stages, namely pre-event, during the event, and post-event. At the pre-event, the Public Relations and Protocol Team will check the schedule and determine the date, then prepare the tools and form an information-seeking team. During the event, the information search team will take photos, take videos and record information such as voice recording. Then in the post-event, the Public Relations and Protocol Section plays a role in photo editing, news writing, report writing and news uploading. The Yogyakarta Regional People Representative website also received positive feedback regarding the completeness of information and the level of visitor satisfaction based on the results of the questionnaire.
