PERNIKAHAN ANAK DI DESA KEDIRI LOMBOK BARAT : SINERGITAS PERAN NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION (NGO) LOKAL DAN INTERNASIONAL DALAM PROGRAM YES I DO

Tesis ini mengkaji mengenai sinergitas peran Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) lokal dan internasional dalam mencegah praktik pernikahan anak di Desa Kediri Lombok Barat melalui konsep Transnational Coalition Building dan Rooted Cosmopolitanism. Pernikahan anak merupakan sebuah dampak dari diskriminasi berbasis gender yang mereduksi nilai dari perempuan. Fenomena merariq sebagai tradisi pernikahan oleh Suku Sasak mempengaruhi langgengnya praktik pernikahan anak di Desa Kediri Lombok Barat. Tradisi merariq memperlihatkan kerentanan anak perempuan sebagai pihak yang paling terdampak. Adapun kehadiran Program Yes I Do sebagai upaya alternatif dalam mencegah praktik pernikahan anak merupakan bentuk dari Event Coaliton karena dijalankan dengan durasi waktu yang singkat yaitu dari tahun 2016-2020 namun dengan keterlibatan yang maksimal oleh tiap organisasi yang terlibat. Aliansi Yes I Do mengidentifikasi situasi sosial yang terjadi di setiap wilayah inetrvensi untuk menyesuaikan dengan agenda kegiatan yang akan dijalankan di wilayah intervensi. Kondisi ini menggambarkan bagaimana rooted cosmopolitanism bekerja, dimana meskipun masyarakat bersatu dalam sebuah semangat warga dunia namun tetap mengakar pada nilai-nilai lokalitas wilayah intervensi.

This thesis examines the synergy of the role of local and international Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in preventing the practice of child marriage in Kediri Village, West Lombok through the concept of Transnational Coalition Building and Rooted Cosmopolitanism. Child marriage is an impact of gender-based discrimination that reduces the value of women. The phenomenon of merariq as a marriage tradition by the Sasak tribe affects the sustainability of the practice of child marriage in Kediri Village, West Lombok. The merariq tradition shows the vulnerability of girls as those who are most affected. The presence of the Yes I Do Program as an alternative effort to prevent the practice of child marriage is a form of Event Coaliton because it is run with a short duration of time, namely from 2016-2020 but with maximum involvement by each organization involved. The Yes I Do Alliance identifies the social situation that occurs in each intervention area to match the agenda of activities that will be carried out in the intervention area. This condition illustrates how rooted cosmopolitanism works, where even though the community is united in a spirit of citizen of the world, it is still rooted in the local values of the intervention area.
