PENGARUH TERAPI COLLAGEN CROSS-LINKING KORNEA TERHADAP PENURUNAN DERAJAT ASTIGMATISME PADA PASIEN ASTIGMATISME RINGAN-SEDANG

Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi CXL kornea dalam menurunkan derajat astigmatisme pasien astigmatisme derajat ringan sampai sedang. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan metode penelitian one-group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian ini membandingkan status astigmatisme pada pasien dengan derajat astigmatisme ringan sampai sedang sebelum dan sesudah kornea CXL dengan riboflavin. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Pusat Dr. Sardjito, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Hasil : Sebanyak 10 responden dengan total 19 mata bersedia menjalani CXL. Kondisi astigmatisme kornea setelah terapi CXL tidak menunjukkan perubahan yang signifikan hingga bulan ke-6 (p=0,418). Nilai Spherical, UCVA, dan MRSE menunjukkan perubahan yang signifikan (p<0,05). Penilaian skor endotel kornea menunjukkan bahwa terapi CXL pada prosedur ini tidak mengubah kondisi endotel kornea secara klinis maupun statistik (P=0,132). Kesimpulan : Terapi CXL tidak menunjukkan perubahan yang signifikan terhadap penurunan astigmatisme pada pasien astigmatisme ringan-sedang.

Objective : This study aims to determine the effect of corneal CXL therapy in reducing the degree of astigmatism of patients with mild to moderate degree of astigmatism. Method : This research is a one-group pretest-posttest design research method. This study compare the status of astigmatism in patients with mild to moderate degree of astigmatism before and after CXL cornea with riboflavin. This research was perform at Dr. Sardjito Center Hospital, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Result : Total of 10 respondents with a total of 19 eyes were willing to undergo CXL. The condition of corneal astigmatism after CXL therapy did not show significant changes until the 6th month (p=0.418). Spherical, UCVA, and MRSE values show significant changes (p<0.05). Corneal endothelial score assessment showed that CXL therapy in this procedure did not change the condition of the corneal endothelium clinically or statistically (P=0.132). Conclusion : CXL therapy did not show significant changes on the decrease of astigmatism in mild-moderate astigmatism patients.
