KORELASI ANTARA TIROKSIN (T4) DENGAN KOLESTEROL, HIGH DENSITY LIPOPROTEIN (HDL),LOW DENSITY LIPOPROTEIN (LDL) DAN TRIGLISERIDA PADA SAPI BALI ESTRUS

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya korelasi antara T4dengan kolesterol, high density lipoprotein(HDL), low density lipoprotein (LDL) dan trigliserida pada sapi Bali estrus. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan tiga ekor sapi Bali yangsedang estrus umur ± 2 tahun, berat badan 200-250 kg, sehat dan belum pernah bunting. Sapi tersebut diambil darahnya melalui vena jugularis, sampel darah diambil dua kali pada awal dan akhir estrus. Sampel darah kemudian disentrifus untuk didapatkan serumnya. Serum yang diperoleh diuji dengan metode ELISA untuk mengetahui kadar T4, kolesterol, HDL, LDL da trigliserida. Semua data yang diperoleh dianalisis statistic dengan metode korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanyakorelasi antara tiroksin (T4) dengan kolesterol, HDL, LDL dan trigliserida padasapi Bali estrus. Pada saat estrus konsentrasi tiroksin (T4) meningkat sedangkan trigliserida rendah. Kadar kolesterol, HDL dan LDL tidak berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kadar tiroksin (T4).

The aim of this research was to determine the correlation between T4and cholesterol, HDL, LDL and triglyceride in Bali cattle during estrus period. This research uses three wench Bali cattle which were in estrus phase, age ± 2 years, good health and had never been pregnant. The blood samples taken twice in the beginning and at end estrus phase, were taken in vena jugularis. The blood samples were sentrifuged to get the serum from its blood samples. Blood serum and then was tested by ELISA method to determine levels of T4and also tested cholesterol, HDL, LDL and triglycerides. All the data then analyzed by correlation methods. The results showed that there was indicate a correlation between thyroxine and cholesterol, HDL, LDL and trygliceride in Bali cattle during estrus period. At the time of estrus, concentrations of thyroxine increased while low triglycerides. Cholesterol, HDL and LDL did not affectthe increased levels of thyroxine.
