PENERJEMAHAN PRONOMINA PERSONA PERTAMA BAHASA INGGRIS KE DALAM BAHASA INDONESIA PADA NOVEL MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS KARYA AGATHA CHRISTIE

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai penerjemahan pronomina persona pertama pada novel Murder on the Orient Express karya Agatha Christie. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kesepadanan, teknik dan metode penerjemahan, serta faktor-faktor penyebab adanya perbedaan padanan pada hasil terjemahan yang terdapat pada karya sastra tersebut. Selain itu, secara keseluruhan penelitian ini menganalisis orientasi penerjemah dalam menerjemahkan pronomina persona pertama dalam novel. Dalam mencari kesepadanan, peneliti menggunakan teori dari Nida dan Taber serta Otto Kade. Sedangkan untuk menganalisa teknik penerjemahannya peneliti menggunakan teori Molina dan Albir dan menentukan metodenya menggunakan teori dari Newmark. Data-data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pronomina persona pertama bahasa Inggris, yaitu I, we, me, dan us. Hasil penelitian menunjukan penerjemahan pronomina persona mencapai tingkat kesepadanan yang beragam, yakni kesepadanan total, kesepadanan opsional, kesepadanan rata-rata, dan kesepadanan nol. Selain itu, ada 4 metode yang digunakan yakni kata demi kata, bebas, harafiah, dan idiomatik. Teknik yang digunakan ada 6, yaitu generalisasi, kompresi linguistik, reduksi, adaptasi, modulasi, dan amplifikasi linguistik. Setelah menganalisis keseluruhan data menunjukan jika hasil terjemahan berorientasi pada bahasa sumber.

This research aims to analyze the translation of the first-person pronouns in Murder on the Orient Express novel by Agatha Christie. The purpose of this research is to analyze the equivalence, translation techniques and methods, as well as the factors that cause differences in the equivalent translation of this literary work. In addition, this research also analyzes the orientation of the translator in translating the first-person pronouns in the novel. In looking for equivalence, the researcher used the theory of Nida and Taber and Otto Kade. Meanwhile, to analyze the translation techniques, the researcher used Molina and Albir's theory and determined the method using the theory from Newmark. The data used in this study are the first-person pronouns, which are I, we, me, and us. The results showed that the translation of first-person pronouns reached various levels of equivalence, namely the total equivalent, the optional equivalent, the average equivalent, and the zero equivalent. In addition, there are 4 methods used, namely word for word, free, literal, and idiomatic. There are 6 techniques used, namely generalization, linguistics compression, reduction, adaptation, modulation, and linguistics amplification. After analyzing all the data, it shows that the translation results are oriented towards the source language.
