Kelelahan mata pada operator komputer karyawan PT Boma Bisma Indra Surabaya

Penerangan yang memadai akan mempermudah dalam pelaksanaan pekerjaan dan mengurangi timbulnya efek sampingan yang tidak diinginkai. Penerangan yang tidak memadai pada ruang komputer merupakan masalah kesehatan bagi operator, hal ini dapat menyebabkan kelh kelelahan mata. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah dengan penambahan lampu dapat menuriuikan kelelahan mata. Metode yang dipergunakan observasi, wawancara, pengukuran dan eksperimen. Jenis penelitian yang dilaksanakan adalah Eksperimental Kuasi dan lokasi penelitian adalah PT Boma Bisma Indra (BBI) Surabaya di ruang rancang bangun. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 53 orang. Variabel independen adalah intensitas penerangan, kesilauan, warna karakter, ukuran layar monitor, organisasi kerja, umur, kelainan refraksi, lama kerja dan status gizi yang diukur dengan meteran dan lux meter. Variabel dependen adalah kelelahan mata yang diukur dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara diskriptif dan analitik menggunakan program sps for windows derigan interval kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerangan di ruang rancang bangun menggunakan penerangan alami dan penerangan buatan, setelah dilakukan perlakuan hasil pengukuran sudah mendekati nilai ambang $yang disyaratkan yaitu 500 lux. Setelah dilakukan perlakuan dengan cara penambahan jumlah lampu, dan penataan ruang kerja, terjadi penurunan kelelahan mata yang sangat‘ signifikan ha1 ini dibuktikan dengan adanya penurunan keluhan kelelahan mata secara umum yang dialami oleh 53 operator komputer.
The use of computer as a means of supporting, equipment needs to consider the side effects. Sufficient lighting may make it easier to do the work and decrease the tiriwanted side effect. This study was aimed at finding out the complaint of asthenopia among computer operators before ang after increasing the light intensity and designing the working room. Insufficient light in a computer room is a health problem for operators. 'I'his may result in asthenopia. This study was aimed at fmding out whether increasing light and designing a working room might decrease asthenopia. The methods were observation, interviews, measurement, and experiment. This was a quasi-experimental study and it was located in the design room, PT. Boma Bisma lndra (BBI) Surabaya. The samples were 53 persons. The independent variables were light intensity, brightness, character color, monitor size, work organization, refiaction abnormality, hours of working , and nutrional status and these were measured using meter and lux meter. The dependent variable was asthenopia that was measured using questionnaires. The data were analyzed descriptively and analytically using SPSS program for Windows with 95% confidence interval. The result showed that lighting at the design room used natural and artificial light. After the measurement, it showed that it was close to the value limit required, i.e. 500 lux. After the treatment by adding the number of light and redesigning the working room, complaint on asthenopia decreased significantly. This was proved by decrease of asthenopia among 53 computer operators. It could be concluded that after the &crease of light intensity and room redesibm, complaint on asthenopia almost disappeared.
