PERBANDINGAN PROFIL WAJAH ANTARA LAKI-LAKI DAN PEREMPUAN DEUTRO-MELAYU BERDASARKAN GARIS ESTETIKA

Profil wajah merupakan hubungan anteroposterior yang dapat dilihat dari sisi lateral wajah. Profil wajah dapat dibagi menjadi 3 bentuk yaitu, lurus (orthognatic), cembung (prognathic), dan cekung (retrognathic). Profil wajah dapat dipengaruhi oleh ras, kelompok suatu populasi, budaya, dan jenis kelamin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari perbandingan profil wajah antara laki-laki dan perempuan Deutro-Melayu berdasarkan garis estetika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian cross sectional yang dilakukan pada subjek keturunan Deutro-Melayu, berumur 18-25 tahun, memiliki maloklusi Angle kelas I, tidak memiliki kelainan dentoskeletal, memiliki keadaan gigi permanen yang telah erupsi sempurna hingga gigi molar ke dua, dan tidak sedang menjalani perawatan ortodonti. Analisis profil wajah dilakukan dengan mengukur jarak bibir atas dan bibir bawah terhadap garis estetika menggunakan aplikasi DBSWIN. Garis estetika dibuat dengan cara menghubungkan titik jaringan lunak pogonion (Pog�¢ï¿½ï¿½) ke titik pronasal (Pn). Hasil t-test didapatkan nilai signifikansi jarak bibir atas laki-laki dan perempuan terhadap garis estetika 0.801 (p>0.05) dan jarak bibir bawah yaitu 0.760 (p>0.05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan yang tidak bermakna antara profil wajah antara laki-laki dan perempuan Deutro-Melayu berdasarkan garis estetika.

The facial profile is an anteroposterior relationship that can be seen from the lateral side of the face. Facial profiles can be divided into 3 forms, flat (orthognathic), convex (prognathic), and concave (retrognathic). Facial profiles can be influenced by race, population group, culture, and gender. This study aimed to study the comparison of facial profiles between Deutro-Malay males and females based on aesthetic lines. This is a cross-sectional study conducted on subjects of Deutro-Malay descent, aged 18-25 years, had class I Angle�¢ï¿½ï¿½s malocclusion, did not have dentoskeletal abnormalities, had permanent teeth that had fully erupted up to the second molar, and were not undergoing orthodontic treatment. The facial profile analysis was carried out by measuring the distance between the upper and lower lips against the aesthetic line using the DBSWIN application. The aesthetic line is created by connecting the pogonion soft tissue point (Pog ') to the pronasal point (Pn). The t-test results showed that the significance value of the upper lip distance of men and women to the aesthetic line was 0.801 (p> 0.05) and the lower lip distance was 0.760 (p>0.05). This study concludes that there is no significant difference between facial profiles Deutro-Malay males and females based on aesthetic lines.
