PRODUKTIVITAS PERTANIAN KOTA: STUDI KASUS PERTANIAN KOTA DI KOTA YOGYAKARTA

Penelitian yang membahas praktek urban farming (pertanian kota) khususnya produktivitas sektor pertanian kota dan peran dari petani wanita masih minim di Indonesia.Penelitian ini menganalisis produktivitas sektor pertanian kota dengan studi kasus pertanian kota di Kota Yogyakarta. Metodologi dalam penelitian ini menggunakan fungsi Cobb-Douglas untuk mengestimasi produksi yang dihasilkan dan Total Factor Productivity (TFP) atau produktivitas faktor total. Sektor pertanian kota di Kota Yogyakarta meliputi tanaman sayuran, bunga, ternak dan ikan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa produktivitas sektor pertanian kota di Kota Yogyakarta cukup tinggi. Akan tetapi peran petani wanita untuk praktek pertanian masih rendah dibuktikan dari sedikitnya alokasi waktu dan nilai ekonomis yang diperoleh dari praktek pertanian kota di Kota Yogyakarta.

Research that discusses the practice of urban farming especially the productivity of the urban agriculture sector and the role of woman farmers is still minimum in Indonesia. This research analyzes the productivity of the urban agriculture sector with a case study of urban agriculture in the city of Yogyakarta. The methodology in this study uses the Cobb-Douglass function to estimate the resulting production and Total Factor Productivity (TFP). The urban agriculture sector in Yogyakarta City includes vegetables, flowers, livestock and fish. The results of this study indicate that the productivity of the urban agriculture sector in the city of Yogyakarta is quite high. However, the role of women farmers in agriculture practices is still low as evidenced by the small allocation of time and economic value obtained from urban agriculture practices in Yogyakarta City.
