PENAMBAHAN CACING TERFERMENTASI PADA PAKAN BUATAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEKEBALAN NON- SPESIFIK PADA IKAN LELE (Clarias sp.)

Cacing difermentasi menggunakan campuran probiotik (Bacillus spp. dan Lactococcus reffinolactis). Desain penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap, dengan lima perlakuan dan empat kali ulangan. Perlakuan berupa pakan dengan penambahan cacing terfermentasi dalam pakan sebesar 0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5% dan 10%. Ikan berbobot rata-rata 15 g ditebar dengan kepadatan 50 ekor per 50 L bak. Ikan dipelihara selama 2 bulan dan diberi pakan 3% perhari sebanyak 3 kali sehari. Parameter yang diamati yaitu, Aktivitas Fagositosis, Indeks Fagositosis, Ledakan Respirasi Ekstraseluler, Diferensiasi Leukosit, SOD, Aglutinasi Alami, Leukokrit dan Hematokrit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya beda nyata dari penambahan cacing cacing terfermentasi 2.5% terhadap nilai ledakan respirasi (NBT), hematokrit, aktivitas fagositosis, indeks fagositosis, SOD, dan diferensiasi leukosit, namun tidak berbeda nyata pada aglutinasi alami dan leukokrit. (P>0.05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi cacing terfermentasi pada pakan dapat membantu meningkatkan kekebalan nonspesifik pada ikan lele.
The purpose of this study was to determine the feed additive effect of fermented earthworm on the non-specific immune response of walking catfish (Clarias sp.). Earthworm was fermented by inoculation of a bacterial mixture of Bacillus spp. and Lactococcus reffinolactis. The study used a completely randomized design, with five treatments in quadruplicates. The treatments were feed supplementation of fermented earthworms at 0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, and 10%. Catfish with an average total weight of 15 g were stocked at a density of 50 fish per 50 L/tank. The fish was reared for two months and fed at a feeding rate of 3% with feeding frequencies of 3 times a day. The parameters observed were phagocytic activity, phagocytosis index, extracellular respiratory burst, leucocyte differentiation, Super Oxide Dismutase (SOD), natural agglutination, leucocrite, and hematocrit. The results showed that feed additive of fermented earthworms at 2.5% increased significantly the respiratory burst (NBT), hematocrit, phagocytic activity, phagocytosis index, SOD, and leucocyte differentiation (P< 0.05), but did not affect natural agglutination and leucocrite (P>0.05). This present study suggested that the application of fermented earthworms as feed additive effectively increased non-specific immunity in catfish.
