Modifikasi Usability Test dengan Pendekatan User Story pada Dashboard Visualisasi Data

Hasil pengolahan data biasanya ditampilkan dalam suatu dashboard dengan berbagai jenis bentuk visualisasi grafik untuk menyampaikan pengetahuan baru yang mudah dipahami oleh pengguna. Akan tetapi, banyak dashboard analisis data tidak berhasil mengkomunikasikan pengetahuan secara efektif dan efisien karena implementasi design yang tidak sesuai. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian untuk mengukur efektifitas tampilan antarmuka dalam sistem analisis data diperlukan. Penelitian ini mengusulkan modifikasi skenario dalam usability test dengan pendekatan user story untuk mengukur tampilan antarmuka sistem dalam penyampaian informasi pada pengguna. Pendekatan usability test dengan user story diharapkan membantu peneliti memahami kebiasaan pengguna secara tidak langsung. Hasil skor System Usability Scale (SUS) yang didapat dari penelitian ini yaitu 75,25. Selain itu, peneliti juga mengukur tingkat pemahaman pengguna dengan kuisioner berdasarkan skenario. Hasil kuisioner ini dikonversi menjadi angka dan memberikan nilai rerata sebesar 91,8. Kedua nilai tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pengguna mampu menggunakan sistem dengan baik serta menangkap pengetahuan baru yang ditampilkan dalam dashboard analisis data.

The results of the data processing commonly are displayed in a dashboard with various forms of graphic visualization to deliver the new knowledge that is easier to be understood by the users. Many data analysis dashboards, however, are not able to communicate the knowledge effectively and efficiently in view of the unsuitable design implementation. The research to measure the effectiveness of the interface display in the data analysis system, therefore, is deemed important. This research proposed the modification of scenario in the usability test with the approach of user story to measure the system interface display in delivering the information to the users. The approach of usability test with the user story is expected to be capable of helping the researcher in understanding the user habits indirectly. The result of the scores of System Usability Scale (SUS) obtained from this research was 75.25. In addition, the researcher also measured the level of the understanding among the users by means of the questionnaires based on scenarios. The results of the questionnaires were then converted into the numbers and resulted in the mean value of 91.8. Those two values showed the ability of the users in using the system well and in obtaining the new knowledge displayed in the data analysis dashboard.
