ANALISIS PROSES PENGEMBANGAN PRODUK PADA UNIT KERJA ANALYTICAL DEVELOPMENT PT ABC

PT ABC merupakan salah satu perusahaan farmasi swasta Indonesia yang bersifat private company dan merupakan bagian dari ABC Grup. Untuk meningkatkan dominasinya di pasar domestik maupun penetrasinya ke pasar regional dan global. PT ABC selalu konsisten dan agresif meluncurkan produk baru. Namun adanya pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan perusahaan mengalami keterbatasan sumber daya manusia untuk melakukan pengembangan produk. Oleh karena itu diperlukan efisiensi dalam proses pengembangan produk agar target penyelesaian pengembangan produk dan pencapaian revenue perusahaan dapat tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi aktivitas yang masih belum efisien pada proses pengembangan produk, mengetahui penyebabnya, dan mengembangkan strategi untuk meningkatan efisiensi proses pengembangan. Identifikasi proses yang masih belum efisien dilakukan dengan menggunakan wawancara dan studi dokumentasi terhadap dokumen perusahaan sedangkan diagram fishbone digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab dari aktivitas yang belum efisien tersebut. Terdapat duplikasi aktivitas dalam proses pengembangan metode analisis dan dossier pada Analytical Development. Duplikasi dalam pengembangan metode analisis berupa eksekusi verifikasi awal metode (dilakukan oleh Modul 1-4) dan validasi metode (dilakukan oleh Modul 5) menggunakan parameter uji yang sama disebabkan oleh tiga faktor dominan yaitu metode, mesin, dan lingkungan. Duplikasi dalam pengembangan dossier berupa dokumentasi dari aktivitas dan pelaporan hasil analisis sampel secara berulang ke dalam Laboratory Notebook, Analytical Result, dan Analytical Method Development Report yang mana ketiganya tidak termasuk ke dalam daftar kebutuhan dokumen registrasi dan hanya untuk kebutuhan dokumentasi internal. Penyebab dominan duplikasi tersebut berasal dari material, mesin, dan lingkungan. Melalui framework Balanced Scorecard, peningkatan efektivitas dan efisiensi dari internal business process Analytical Development dapat dilakukan dengan cara re-arrangement modul, revisi SOP, perbaikan atau pengadaan sistem informasi proyek yang terintegrasi dan updated, implementasi Advanced Custom Field, dan pembuatan sistem otomasi manajemen data dan dossier.

PT ABC is one of Indonesia's private pharmaceutical companies which is a private company and part of the ABC Group. To increase their dominance in the domestic market and their penetration into regional and global markets. PT ABC is consistently and aggressively launching new products. However, Covid-19 pandemic caused companies to have limited human resources to carry out product development. Hence, efficiency is needed in the product development process so the target of product development completion and the company's revenue gaining could be achieved. The goals of this research are to identify activities that are still inefficient in the product development process, determine the causes, and develop strategies to increase the efficiency of the development process. The identification of inefficient processes was carried out by using interviews and documentation studies of company documents, and the fishbone diagram was used to identify the causes of these inefficient activities. Duplication of activity was found in the analytical method development process and dossier development. The duplication in the analytical method development was that the initial verification method (performed by Modul 1-4) and validation of the analytical method (performed by Modul 5) was using the same test parameter caused by three dominant factors which are method, mechine, and enviroment. The duplication in dossier development has happened in reporting of analytical results that documented in several documents such as Laboratory Notebook, Analytical Result, and Analytical Method Development Report, which all those did not include in the list of required documentation for registration document and only as internal documentation. The dominant causes of duplication are materials, machines and the environment. Through the Balanced Scorecard framework, increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal business process Analytical Development can be done by re-arrangement of modules, revising SOP, repairing or procuring an integrated and updated project information system, implementing Advanced Custom Fields, and creating an automated data management system dossier.
