Penyertaan Modal Negara (PMN) diberikan pemerintah kepada perusahaan yang membutuhkan tambahan modal, baik untuk investasi, maupun untuk penyehatan kinerja perusahaan. Penilitian ini menganalisis efektivitas PMN terhadap kinerja saat ini dan masa yang akan datang pada PT Hutama Karya (Persero) sebagai perusahaan yang ditugaskan untuk melakukan investasi di Jalan Tol Trans Sumatera. Efektivitas diukur dengan melihat perubahan biaya modal dan perubahan aset yang dimiliki perusahaan, hasilnya pemberian PMN efektif menurunkan biaya modal dan meningkatkan aset perusahaan serta meningkatkan kinerja jangka panjang perusahaan yang diukur dari perubahan aset dan ekuitas di masa yang akan datang

PMN is given by the government to companies that require additional capital, both for investment and for the restructuring of company performance. This study analyzes the effectiveness of PMN on the current and future performance of PT Hutama Karya (Persero) as the company assigned to invest in the Trans Sumatra Toll Road. Effectiveness is measured by looking at changes in the cost of capital and changes in assets owned by the company, the result is that the provision of PMN is effective in reducing the cost of capital and increasing the company's assets and increasing the company's long-term performance as measured by changes in assets and equity in the future.
