Seni kerajinan perak Kotagede Yogyakarta 1987-1998 :: Dampaknya pariwisata terhadap perkembangan desain

Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana dampak kunjungan pariwisata di Yogyakarta terhadap perkembangan desain seni kerajinan perak di Kotagede. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dampak pariwisata di Daerah Istirnewa Yogyakarta terhadap perkembangan seni kerajinan perak di Kotagede dapat digolongkan menjadi tiga periode sesuai dengan slogan pemerintah, yaitu: Periode pertama Visit Indonesia Year yang dicanangkan pada tahun 1986, yang mempunyai dampak pada tahun 1987 sampai tahun1990, sehingga jumlah pengunjung semakin bertarnbah yakni rata - rata pertahun 592.393 orang. Pada periode kedua Visit Indonesia Year 1991 dengan jumlah pengunjung rata- rata pertahun mencapai 762.758 orang. Periode ketiga 1992 Visit Asean Year sampai dengan 1998 Go Indonesia, yang jumlah rata-rata pertahun mencapai 935.537 orang. Pada dasarnya hasil seni kerajinan perak dalam setiap periode dapat dikategorikan menjadi tiga macam kelornpok, yaitu: bentuk aksesoris, bentuk perabotan, dan bentuk hiasan. Dampak pada periode pertama terhadap perkembangan desain seni kerajinan perak Kotagede rnengarah pada bentuk hiasan yang didominasi oleh bentuk - bentuk miniatur dengan bentuk yang masih relatif besar, rumit, dan bentuk aksesoris yang terkungkung oleh garis kerangka bagian luar. Pada periode kedua variasi bentuk semakin berkembang, namun ukurannya semakin menjadi kecil dan ringan. Bentuk benda sudah mulai keluar dari garis kerangka bagian luar. Pada periode ketiga perkembangan desain lebih banyak menggunakan kombinasi bahan, seperti: per& dengan emas, perak dengan tembaga, perak dengan kulit penyu, perak dengan kayu, dan sebagainya.

The objective of this study is to know how the impact of tourism visit in Yogyakarta toward the development of the silver industry art in Yogyakarta is. The finding of the study shows that the impact of tourism in Daerah lstimewa Yogyakarta toward the development of the art of the silver industry in Kotagede can be classified in three periods according to the government slogan; they are: the first period of Visit Indonesia Year that was designed in the year of 1986. It had the impact in 1987 to 1990; the number of tourists increased from the yearly rate of 592. 393 tourists. In the second period, the Visit Indonesia Year 1991 the number of tourists yearly reached 762. 758 tourists. In the third period of Visit Asean Year 1992 to Go Indonesia 1998, the yearly rate of the number of the tourists achieved 935.537 tourists. Basically, the form result of silver industry art can be categorized into three kinds of forms; they are: the forms of accessories, furnishings, and decorations. The impact the first period to the development of the silver industry art design in Kotagede refers to the form of decoration that is dominated by the forms of miniature which are relatively big, complex, and there are still many forms dominated by linear lines especially in the form of accessory. In the second period, the number of form was developed more with many variations, from the size dimension, however, it was smaller and lighter in weight. The form began to he out of the linear lines. In the third period, the design development used more material application such as silver and gold, silver and copper, silver and tortoise shell, silver and wood, etc
