Peran Public Display of Affection di Instagram terhadap Kepuasan Hubungan Romantis pada Generasi Y di Indonesia

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melihat peran public display of affection di Instagram terhadap kepuasan hubungan romantis pada generasi Y. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah public display of affection berperan terhadap kepuasan hubungan romantis pada generasi Y. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah sebanyak 495 orang (Musia= 21.65; Rangeusia: 19-34 tahun), sedang menjalin hubungan romantis, serta memiliki akun media sosial Instagram. Penelitian ini menggunakan Relationship Assessment Scale dan Public Display of Affection Scale. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan public display of affection di Instagram tidak berperan terhadap kepuasan hubungan romantis pada generasi Y. Diskusi dalam penelitian ini fokus pada indikator public display of affection yang berperan pada kepuasan hubungan romantis melalui media sosial Instagram.

This study aimed to see the role of public display of affection on Instagram to generation Y's romantic relationship satisfaction. Hypothesis in this study was "public display of affection on Instagram has a role in the generation Y's romantic relationship satisfaction". The participants were 495 participants (Mage= 21.65; Rangeage: 19-34 years old), who involved in romantic relationships, and had a social media account Instagram. This study used Relationship Assessment Scale and Public Display of Affection Scale. The result showed that public display of affection on Instagram did not have a role towards to romantic relationship satisfaction of generation Y. The discussion in this study focused on public display of affection's indicators that role in the romantic relationship satisfaction on social media Instagram.
