Novel ini bercerita tentang seorang anak SMA bernama Anzai yang jatuh cinta pada pandangan pertama dan mengalami cinta bertepuk sebelah tangan selama 3 tahun kepada Honjou. Halaman 7-17 bercerita tentang Anzai yang akhirnya mendapatkan kesempatan untuk dapat berada di kelas yang sama dengan Honjou saat tahun ke 3 SMA. Novel ini dipilih karena alur cerita yang menarik dengan mengusung tema percintaan remaja SMA di Jepang. Novel ini juga dapat dijadikan referensi bagi siapa saja yang sedang mengalami cinta bertepuk sebelah tangan agar dapat mengambil pesan moral di dalamnya. Selain itu, novel ini juga belum pernah diterjemahkan kedalam bahasa Indonesia. Kendala dalam menerjemahkan novel ini adalah menemukan padanan kata yang sesuai dengan bahasa Indonesia dan sulit untuk memahami konteks cerita. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dilakukan beberapa cara, antara lain: membaca kembali semua isi cerita kemudian mencoba memahami konteks cerita satu-persatu, mencari arti kosakata melalui kamus offline dan online. Metode yang digunakan untuk menerjemahkan novel ini adalah Metode Komunikatif. Dengan menggunakan metode tersebut, diharapkan pembaca dapat memahami isi yang terdapat dalam cerita dengan mudah.
The subject of this final paper is Translation of Pages 7-17 Please Say I Love You With a Smile by Muu. This novel tells the story of a high school student named Anzai who has been in unrequited love since she has been in love at first sight with Honjou when she was in the first grade of high school. Pages 7-17 tells about Anzai get a great chance to become in the same class in the 3rd-grade year with Honjou. This novel has chosen because the story is interesting and suitable for teenagers. Bring the romance genre as a story, reader can get a lot of lessons after reading this story. Moreover, this novel can be used as a reference for anyone who is experiencing unrequited love. In addition, this novel has never been translated into Indonesian. There are some problems encountered during the translation process. For instance, difficult to understand the context and find an equivalent of Indonesian words. To overcome this, several methods were carried out including read the whole sentence of the story then try to understand again the context carefully, search the word meaning through the offline and online dictionaries. This translation is using the communicative translation method. By using this method, hopefully the readers can easily to understand the content of the story.
