PERFORMANCE BASED SEISMIC EVALUATION STRUKTUR GEDUNG PUSAT STUDI LINGKUNGAN HIDUP (PSLH) UGM MENURUT ASCE 41-17

Gempa bumi merupakan bencana alam yang paling destruktif pada struktur bangunan. Indonesia berada pada kawasan pertemuan Jalur Lempeng Pasifik dan Jalur Lempeng Asia yang menyebabkan rawan terjadinya gempa. Salah satu upaya mitigasi dengan meminimalisir kegagalan struktur pada bangunan yaitu dilakukan perancangan berbasis kinerja (Performance Based Seismic Design) dan tindakan lanjutan berupa evaluasi berbasis kinerja (Performance Based Seismic Evaluation) pada bangunan sebagai pedoman dilakukannya perkuatan jika diperlukan. Pedoman evaluasi yang didesain khusus untuk evaluasi berbasis kinerja (Performance Based Seismic Evaluation) pada komponen struktural dan non-struktural yaitu ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineering) 41-17 �Seismic Evaluation and Retrofit of Existing Buildings�. Pada Tugas Akhir ini dilakukan analisis untuk mengevaluasi komponen struktural pada Gedung PSLH (Pusat Studi Lingkungan Hidup) UGM menggunakan ASCE 41-17 dan peraturan pendukung yang dirujuk. Gedung PSLH UGM merupakan bangunan esensial (kategori resiko IV) yang dimodelkan menggunakan SAP 2000. Tahap evaluasi yang ditinjau yaitu Tier 1 (screening) dan Tier 2 (deficiency-based evaluation) pada komponen struktural gedung. Evaluasi juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan struktur bangunan apabila diterapkan level kinerja Immediate Occupancy dan Life Safety sesuai standar penilaian kinerja untuk bangunan baru (Basic Performance Objective Equivalent to New Building Standards) yaitu BSE-1N dan BSE-2N. Metode analisis yang digunakan pada Tier 2 berupa LDP (Linier Dinamic Procedur) dengan analisis respon spektrum. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang dilakukan, terdapat deficiency terhadap Tier 1 sehingga dilakukan evaluasi lanjutan Tier 2. Pada Tier 2 dilakukan analisis demand capacity ratio yang dilengkapi analisis rasio simpang pada setiap lantai. Berdasarkan evaluasi, dapat diketahui terjadi tidak memenuhinya strong column weak beam pada beberapa sambungan dan terdapat beberapa komponen balok yang tidak memenuhi kriteria level kinerja Immediate Occupancy maupun Life Safety. Hasil analisis menunjukkan perlunya analisis non-linier untuk lebih spesifik dalam menentukan tindakan perkuatan.

Earthquakes are the most destructive natural disasters on building structures. Indonesia is located between Circum Pacific Earthquake Belt and Trans Asiatic Earthquake Belt. It has potentially lead the earthquake. One of the mitigation efforts by minimizing structural failure in buildings is carried out by Performance Based Seismic Design (PBSD) and follow-up actions in the form of Performance Based Seismic Evaluation (PBSE) on buildings as retrofitting if necessary. Evaluation guidelines specifically designed for the Performance Based Seismic Evaluation (PBSE) of structural and non-structural component, namely ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineering) 41-17 �Seismic Evaluation and Retrofitting of Existing Buildings�. In this Final Project, an analysis of structural component based on ASCE 41-17 and other supporting guidelines referred. PSLH UGM classified as essential building (risk categories IV) which is modeled using SAP 2000. The evaluation phase was carried through by Tier 1 (screening) and Tier 2 (deficiency-based evaluation) on the structural components of the building. The purpose of this evaluation to determine ability of the building structure perform as Immediate Occupancy and Life Safety levels according to the performance standards for new buildings (Basic Performance Objective Equivalent to New Building Standards), namely BSE-1N and BSE-2N. The analytical method used in Tier 2 is LDP (Linear Dynamic Procedure) with response spectrum analysis. Based on the evaluation result, there are deficiencies in Tier 1 so that the further evaluation is carried out at Tier 2. At Tier 2, a demand capacity ratio analysis is carried out which is complited by drift ratio analysis for each floor. The result of Tier 2 showed were not compliant of strong columns weak beams criteria at some joints and there are several components of beams that not compliant of acceptance criteria for Immediate Occupancy and Life Safety performance levels. The analysis results indicate building need non-linear analysis to specific determine of retrofitting.
