KOMPLEKSITAS ALUR NOVEL LELAKI TERAKHIR YANG MENANGIS DI BUMI KARYA AAN MANSYUR

Penelitian ini menggunakan objek material, yaitu novel Lelaki Terakhir yang Menangis. Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah kompleksitas alur novel Lelaki Terakhir yang Menangis di Bumi karya Aan Mansyur yang meliputi peristiwa, episode, tahapan alur dan hubungannya dengan latar, judul, dan penokohan, konflik, plausibilitas, dan surprise ending. Novel Lelaki Terakhir yang Menangis di Bumi dipilih sebagai objek material dalam penelitian ini karena dianggap memiliki alur yang menarik. Hal tersebut terlihat dari penyajian peristiwa dan episode yang tidak kronologis. Penyajian semacam itu diduga memengaruhi tahapan alur dalam novel ini. Tahapan alur juga diduga dipengaruhi oleh latar, penokohan, dan judul novel. Selain itu, penyajian konflik secara implisit dan peristiwa-peristiwa yang diragu-ragukan plausibilitasnya diduga mengarahkan alur pada surprise ending. Kaitan antar unsuralur tersebut diduga menunjukkan kompleksitas alur dalam novel. Metode deskriptif analisis digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menekankan pada pendeskripisan data yang terdapat dalam novel kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan unsur-unsur alur. Adapun hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. Pertama, peristiwa dan episode tersebut disajikan secara tidak kronologis. Hal tersebut terjadi karena adanya pelompatan peristiwa dan episode yang menyebabkan penundaan penjelasan peristiwa dan episode tersebut. Kedua, alur novel merupakan alur tunggal dengan menunjukkan peristiwa-peristiwa yang telah terjadi pada masa lalu Jiwa. Dominasi tahap tersebut menyebabkan novel ini beralur regresif. Ketiga, konflik internal dan konflik eksternal dalam novel disebabkan dan menyebabkan peristiwa-peristiwa yang diragu-ragukan plausibiltasnya. Selain itu, konflik dan peristiwa yang diragu-ragukan plausibilitasnya menyebabkan surprise ending dalam alur novel. Pembahasan tersebut memperlihatkan kompleksitas alur novel Lelaki Terakhir yang Menangis di Bumi. Kompleksitas alur semakin terlihat dari pergantian peristiwa yang cepat dan saling berkaitan satu sama lain. Berbeda dengan novel beralur longgar yang menyajikan peristiwa-peristiwa yang dapat dihilangkan namun tidak memengaruhi perkembangan alur.

This study uses a material object, namely the novel Lelaki Terakhir yang Menangis di Bumi. The main problem in this research is the complexity of the plot of Aan Mansyur's novel Lelaki Terakhir yang Menangis di Bumi which includes events, episodes, stages of the plot and their relationship to the setting, title, characterization, conflict, plausibility, and surprise ending. The novel of Lelaki Terakhir yang Menangis di Bumi was chosen as the material object in this study because it was considered to have an interesting plot. This can be seen from the non-chronological presentation of events and episodes. Such presentation affects the stages of the plot in this novel. The plot stage is also influenced by the setting, characterization, and title of the novel. In addition, the implicit presentation of conflicts and incidents of doubtful plausibility will lead to the flow of the surprise ending. The relationship between these elements shows the complexity of the plot in the novel. The descriptive analysis method used in this research emphasizes on describing the data contained in the novel and then analyzed based on plot elements. The research results are as follows. First, the events and episodes are not presented chronologically. This happens because of the jumping of events and episodes which causes delays in explaining these events and episodes. Second, the plot of the novel is a single plot by showing events that have occurred in the past of the Soul. The dominance of this stage causes the novel to have a regressive path. Third, internal conflict and external conflict in the novel are caused and cause events that their plausibility is doubtful. In addition, conflicts and events that have doubtful plausibility lead to a surprise ending in the plot of the novel. This discussion shows the complexity of the plot of the novel The Last Man Who Cries on Earth. The complexity of the flow is increasingly seen from the rapid turnover of events and is related to one another. This is different from a novel with a loose thread, which presents events that can be eliminated but do not affect the development of the plot.
