KARAKTERISTIK FISIK DAN KIMIA PERAIRAN EKOSISTEM SUNGAI BOGOWONTO SETELAH MELALUI AKTIVITAS MASYARAKAT SETEMPAT DI WONOSOBO DAN PURWOREJO

Sungai Bogowonto secara umum dibagi menjadi tiga bagian yaitu hulu, tengah dan hilir. Daerah hulu Sungai Bogowonto adalah Gunung Sumbing dimana terdapat alih fungsi hutan menjadi lahan pertanian oleh masyarakat setempat. Sedangkan daerah tengah dan hilir adalah daerah pemukiman padat penduduk. Keberadaan sungai yang berdekatan dengan masyarakat menjadikan Sungai Bogowonto tidak luput dari aktivitas masyarakat dari hulu hingga hilir. Adanya aktivitas masyarakat dari hulu hingga hilir yang cukup padat diduga memberikan dampak terhadap kualitas perairan di Sungai Bogowonto. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik fisik dan kimia perairan ekosistem Sungai Bogowonto setelah melalui aktivitas masyarakat setempat. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada sepanjang aliran Sungai Bogowonto dari hulu sampai hilir menggunakan metode systematic sampling with random start dengan titik sejumlah 43 titik dan jarak antar titik 2 km. Parameter yang diuji dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu parameter fisik dan parameter kimia. Parameter fisik terdiri atas suhu, kecepatan arus dan kecerahan. Parameter kimia terdiri atas pH, oksigen terlarut, fosfat, nitrat, dan deterjen. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan uji anova, uji Scheffe, uji Kruskal Wallis dan uji Mann Whitney test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan karakteristik fisik dan kimia perairan ekosistem Sungai Bogowonto setelah melalui aktivitas masyarakat setempat yaitu terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara bagian hulu, tengah dan hilir pada parameter suhu, pH dan nitrat. Sedangkan parameter kecepatan arus, kecerahan, oksigen terlarut, fosfat dan deterjen tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara bagian hulu, tengah dan hilir.

The Bogowonto River is generally divided into three parts, namely upstream, middle and downstream. The upstream area of the Bogowonto River is located in Mount Sumbing where there is a conversion of forest land into agricultural land by the local community. Meanwhile, the middle and downstream areas are densely populated residential areas. The existence of the river close to the community makes the Bogowonto exposed to community activities from upstream to downstream. The existence of quite dense community activities from upstream to downstream is thought to influence the quality of waters in the Bogowonto River. This study aims to determine the physical and chemical characteristics of the waters of the Bogowonto River ecosystem after going through local community activities. Data was collected along the Bogowonto River from upstream to downstream employing a systematic sampling method with a random start with 43 points and a distance of 2 km between points. The parameters tested were divided into 2 groups, namely physical parameters and chemical parameters. Physical parameters consist of temperature, current velocity and brightness. Chemical parameters consist of pH, dissolved oxygen, phosphate, nitrate, and detergent. After that, the analysis was performed benefitting the anova test, Scheffe test, Kruskal Wallis test and Mann Whitney test. The results showed the physical and chemical characteristics of the waters .of the Bogowonto River ecosystem after going through local community activities, namely that there were significant differences among the upstream, middle and downstream parts of the parameters of temperature, pH, and nitrate. While the flow velocity, brightness dissolved oxygen, phosphate and detergent parameters there were no significant differences among the upstream, middle and downstream parts.
