Struktur Komunitas Mangrove di Sekitar Aliran Sungai Pasir-Jati Kabupaten Kulon Progo dan Purworejo

Hutan mangrove yang berada di Kabupaten Kulon Progo dan Purworejo ini membentang dari muara anak Sungai Pasir-Jati, yaitu Pasir Pendit hingga Pasir Kadilangu. Data dan informasi mengenai hutan mangrove di sekitar aliran Sungai Pasir-Jati masih sangat sedikit, sehingga diperlukan adanya penelitian, salah satu penelitian dasar yang dapat dilakukan yaitu mengenai keragaman mangrove. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keragaman jenis tumbuhan mangrove yang terdapat di sekitar aliran Sungai Pasir-Jati, mengetahui indeks nilai penting mangrove, dan indeks diversitas mangrove di Sungai Pasir-Jati. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2019 sampai Januari 2020 di Sungai Pasir-Jati Kabupaten Kulon Progo dan Kabupaten Purworejo. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dari 5 stasiun. Mangrove diamati dengan plot ukuran 10 X 10 meter, mengukur setiap diameter batang dan mengamati akar, batang, daun, bunga, dan buah mangrove. Analisis data untuk menentukan kondisi ekologis mangrove menggunakan beberapa jenis perhitungan diantaranya yaitu; kerapatan jenis, penutupan jenis jenis, indeks nilai penting (INP), indeks diversitas dan kualitas air (suhu air, pH, salinitas). Hasil pengamatan keragaman jenis mangrove di Sungai Pasir-Jati terdapat tujuh jenis yaitu; Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizopora apiculata, Sonneratia alba, Avicennia alba, Avicennia officinalis, Nypa fruticans dan Acanthus ilicifolius, dengan jenis Rhizopora mucronata memiliki INP tertinggi sebesar 130.27%, dan terkecil adalah jenis Acanthus ilicifolius sebesar 4.80%. Hasil pengamatan terhadap indeks diversitas, diperoleh nilai sebesar 0,54, menandakan keanekaragaman mangrove di kawasan Sungai Pasir-Jati Kabupaten Kulon Progo dan Purworejo termasuk dalam kategori sedang.

Mangrove forests are located in the Kulon Progo and Purworejo Regency it stretches from the estuary of Pasir-Jati River, namely Pasir Pendit up to Pasir Kadilangu. Data and information about the mangrove forest around the Pasir-Jati River is still very little, so research is required, one of the basic research that can be done is about the diversity of the mangrove. This study aims to determine the diversity of plant species of mangrove found around the flow of the Pasir-Jati River, find out the important values of mangrove, and the diversity of mangrove in Pasir-Jati River. Research conducted in December 2019 to January 2020 in Pasir-Jati River Kulon Progo and Purworejo Regency. Data collection was carried out from 5 stations. Mangrove is observed with a plot size of 10 X 10 meters, measure each diameter of the rod and observe the roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruit of the mangrove. Data analysis to determine the ecological condition of mangrove using some kind of calculation such as; the density of species, dominance of species, the index value important (IVI), diversity index and water quality (water temperature, pH, salinity). The results of the observation of the diversity of mangrove species in the Pasir-Jati River there are seven species, namely; Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizopora apiculata, Sonneratia alba, Avicennia alba, Avicennia officinalis, Nypa fruticans and Acanthus ilicifolius, with the species of Rhizopora mucronata have IVI high of 130.27%, and the smallest is a species of Acanthus ilicifolius amounted to 4.80%. The results of the observation of the diversity index, obtained a value of 0.54, indicating the diversity of mangrove in the Pasir-Jati River Kulon Progo and Purworejo included in the medium category.
