HUBUNGAN ANTARA PROFIL BIOKIMIA DARAH DAN SKOR KONDISI TUBUH INDUK KAMBING PERANAKAN SAANEN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara profil biokimia darah dan skor kondisi tubuh induk kambing Peranakan Saanen. Penelitian menggunakan sampel darah dari 15 ekor induk kambing Peranakan Saanen yang memiliki kriteria yaitu berumur 3 sampai 4 tahun, memiliki siklus estrus normal, minimal pernah beranak sekali, dan memiliki skor kondisi tubuh (body condition score) 2 sampai 3,9. Pengambilan sampel darah dilakukan pada pagi hari pukul 06.00 WIB sebelum pemberian pakan ternak. Darah diambil melalui venoject yang ditusukkan pada vena jugularis ternak kambing dan dilakukan sekali pengambilan. Sampel darah dianalisis kadar blood urea nitrogen (BUN), kolesterol darah, dan protein darah. Kandungan BUN dianalisis dengan metode berthelot-reaction, kolesterol darah dengan metode cholesterol oxidase-peroxidase aminoantipyrine phenol (CHOD-PAP), dan protein darah dengan metode photometrics bromcresol green. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji korelasi untuk melihat hubungan antara profil biokimia darah dengan skor kondisi tubuh ternak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa koefisien korelasi antara skor kondisi tubuh 2 sampai 2,9 dan profil biokimia darah (blood urea nitrogen (BUN), kolesterol darah, protein darah) secara berturut-turut yaitu -0,229, -0,793, dan -0,415. Nilai signifikansi skor kondisi tubuh 2 sampai 2,9 terhadap blood urea nitrogen (BUN), kolesterol darah, dan protein darah berturut-turut yaitu 0,586, 0,019, dan 0,307. Koefisien korelasi antara skor kondisi tubuh 3 sampai 3,9 dan profil biokimia darah (blood urea nitrogen (BUN), kolesterol darah, protein darah) secara berturut-turut yaitu 0,443, -0,345, dan -0,326. Nilai signifikansi skor kondisi tubuh 3 sampai 3,9 terhadap blood urea nitrogen (BUN), kolesterol darah, dan protein darah berturut-turut yaitu 0,320, 0,448, dan 0,476. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, terdapat hubungan negatif antara skor kondisi tubuh dan kolesterol darah induk kambing Peranakan Saanen pada kelompok skor kondisi tubuh 2 sampai 2,9.

This study aims to determine the relationship between blood metabolites and body condition scores in Saanen crossbreed doe. The study used blood samples from 15 Saanen crossbreed does that had the following criteria, namely 3 to 4 years old, had a normal estrous cycle, had at least one child, and had a body condition score of 2 to 3,9. Blood samples were collected in the morning before feeding at 6 a.m. by injecting venoject into the vena jugularis of the doe. Blood samples were analyzed for levels of blood urea nitrogen (BUN), blood cholesterol, and blood protein. The BUN content was analyzed using the berthelot-reaction method, blood cholesterol was analyzed using the cholesterol oxidase-peroxidase aminoantipyrine phenol (CHOD-PAP) method, and blood protein was analyzed using the bromcresol green photometric method. The data obtained were analyzed using a correlation test to see the relationship between blood metabolites and body condition scores of the doe. The results showed that the correlation coefficients between body condition score of 2 to 2,9 and blood metabolites (blood urea nitrogen (BUN), blood cholesterol, blood protein) were -0,229, -0,793, and -0,415, respectively. The significance values of body condition score of 2 to 2,9 on blood urea nitrogen (BUN), blood cholesterol, and blood protein were 0,586, 0,019, and 0,307, respectively. The correlation coefficients between body condition score of 3 to 3,9 and blood metabolites (blood urea nitrogen (BUN), blood cholesterol, blood protein) were 0,443, -0,345, and -0,326, respectively. Based on the research conducted, there was a negative relationship between the body condition score and blood cholesterol of the Saanen crossbreed doe in the body condition score group of 2 to 2,9.
