PERSEPSI PETANI PENGGARAP TERHADAP PROGRAM RESTORASI DI SUAKA MARGASATWA PALIYAN

Suaka Margasatwa Paliyan merupakan kawasan pelestarian alam yang terletak di Kecamatan Paliyan dan Kecamatan Saptosari, Kabupaten Gunung Kidul. Kawasan ini merupakan alih fungsi dari hutan produksi menjadi Suaka Margasatwa yang kondisinya terdegradasi sehingga dilakukan program restorasi dengan penanaman tanaman asli (native spesies) untuk mengembalikan ekosistem yang telah rusak menjadi seperti semula. Keberhasilan program restorasi membutuhkan dukungan dari berbagai pihak salah satunya masyarakat yang berinteraksi langsung dengan kawasan, sehingga yang berpotensi adalah petani penggarap. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi petani penggarap terhadap program restorasi dan mengetahui faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap persepsi tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu wawancara kepada petani penggarap sebagai responden yang diambil secara random sampling menggunakan alat bantu kuesioner yang sudah dilakukan uji validitas dan uji reabilitas. Data primer yang didapatkan, dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dengan cara skoring menggunakan skala likert untuk mengetahui tingkat persepsi dan analisis regresi linear berganda digunakan untuk mengetahui faktor yang berpengaruh. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa aspek pengetahuan didapatkan hasil presentase sebesar 66% yang berarti masyarakat setuju dengan gambaran umum SM beserta fungsinya, dan aspek persepsi terhadap program restorasi sebesar 78% yang berarti masyarakat sangat setuju dengan adanya program restorasi yang melibatkan masyarakat sekitar khususnya petani penggarap. Hasil dari analisis menggunakan software SPSS, diketahui bahwa terdapat sembilan variabel yang dilakukan uji regresi linear berganda, hasilnya menunjukkan terdapat tiga faktor yang berpengaruh yaitu faktor umur, pekerjaan, dan jarak dari kawasan SM Paliyan. Hal ini berpengaruh terhadap koefisien determinasi yang hasilnya 51,6% dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain diluar dari penelitian ini.

Suaka Margasatwa Paliyan is a nature conservation area located in Paliyan sub-district and Saptosari sub-district, Gunung Kidul Regency. This area is a function of the production forest into a wildlife sanctuary whose condition is degraded so that a restoration program is carried out with the planting of native plants (native species) to restore the damaged ecosystem to its original state. The success of the restoration program certainly requires the support of various parties, one of which is the community that interacts directly with the region, so in this case the potential is the farmer. This research aims to know the perception of sharecroppers in the restoration program and to know the factors that affect the perception. The method used in this study is interviewing sharecroppers as respondents who are taken random sampling using questionnaire aids that have been conducted validity tests and rehab tests. The primary data obtained, analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis by scoring using the Likert scale to determine the level of perception and analysis of multiple linear regressions is used to determine the influential factors. The results of this study showed that the knowledge aspect obtained a percentage result of 66% which means that the society agrees with the general picture of Wildlife Sanctuary and its functions, and the aspect of perception of the restoration program by 78% which means that the society strongly agrees with the restoration program involving the surrounding community, especially sharecroppers. The results of the analysis using SPSS software, it is known that there are nine variables performed by multiple linear regression tests, and the results show there are only three influential factors namely age factor, occupational factor, and distance factor from Paliyan Wildlife Sanctuary area. This affects the coefficient of determination which results are 51.6% and the rest is influenced by other variables outside of this study.
