HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP IBU MENYUSUI DENGAN STATUS PEMBERIAN ASI DI KABUPATEN SLEMAN DAERAH ISTIMEWA YOGYAKARTA

INTISARI Latar Belakang : Pemberian ASI eksklusif dipengaruhi beberapa faktor, termasuk tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap. Pengetahuan dan sikap adalah faktor penting yang berpengaruh terhadap perilaku ibu menyusui dalam masa pemberian ASI. Tujuan Penelitian : Mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu menyusui, sikap, dan faktor luar yang berhubungan dengan pemberian ASI dengan status pemberian ASI dengan usia bayi <6 bulan dan 6-7 di Kabupaten Sleman, DIY. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah ibu menyusui yang berdomisili di wilayah kerja 10 Puskesmas di Kabupaten Sleman yang berjumlah 420 orang. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Januari-Maret 2020 menggunakan instrumen tingkat pengetahuan ibu menyusui dan instrumen Iowa Infant Feeding Attitude Scale (IIFAS). Analisis penelitian menggunakan analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan regresi logistik dan chi square. Hasil : Pada kelompok ibu menyusui dengan usia bayi < 6 bulan, hasil korelasi variabel tingkat pengetahuan ibu menyusui dengan status pemberian ASI p-value=0.121, hasil korelasi variabel sikap dengan status pemberian ASI p-value=0.010, korelasi faktor-faktor lain dengan status pemberian ASI semua p-value>0,05, Pada kelompok ibu menyusui dengan usia bayi 6-7 bulan, korelasi variabel tingkat pengetahuan dengan status pemberian ASI p-value=0.086 korelasi variabel sikap dengan pemberian ASI p-value=0.863, korelasi faktor-faktor lain dengan status pemberian ASI memiliki p value>0,05. Kesimpulan : Tidak terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dan faktor lain pada ibu menyusui dengan status pemberian ASI pada bayi berusia < 6. Terdapat hubungan antara sikap ibu menyusui < bulan dengan status pemberian ASI, tidak terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan, sikap, dan faktor lain 6-7 bulan dengan status pemberian ASI. Background: Several factors incluence exclusive breastfeeding, including knowledge level and attitude. Knowledge and attitude are important factors that influence the behavior of breastfeeding mothers during exclusive breastfeeding. Research Objective: To know the correlation between knowledge level, attitude of breastfeeding mothers, and factors with the status of breastfeeding with infants aged 1-7 months in Kabupaten Sleman, DIY. Method: This is a descriptive analytic research with a cross-sectional design. Respondents in this study were breastfeeding mothers who lived in the the working area of 10 Puskesmas (Public Health Center) in Kabupaten Sleman, with total 420 people. Data were collected from January to March 2020 using the knowledge level instrument of breastfeeding mothers and the Iowa Infant Feeding Attitude Scale (IIFAS). The research analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis with logistic regression and chi square. Result: In the group of breastfeeding mothers with infants aged <6 months, the results of variable correlation of breastfeeding mothers knowledge level with breastfeeding status was p-value=0,121, then the variable correlation results of attitude with breastfeeding status was p-value=0,010, all of factors p-value was > 0,05 Meanwhile, in the group of breastfeeding mothers with infants aged 6-7 months, the variable correlation results of knowledge level with breastfeeding status was p-value=0,086 and the variable correlation of attitude and breastfeeding was p-value=0,863 Conclusion: There is a correlation between attitide with breastfeeding status < 6 month, there is no correlation between knowledge level of breastfeeding mothers and all of factor with breastfeeding status at the age of infants <6 months and breastfeeding mothers with 6-7 months infants do not have a correlation between knowledge level and attitude with the status of exclusive breastfeeding or not.
