PENGARUH LEVEL PUPUK NITROGEN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN, PRODUKSI, DAN KANDUNGAN NUTRIEN Cichorium intybus VARIETAS CHICO PADA REGROWTH KEDELAPAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh level pupuk nitrogen terhadap pertumbuhan, produksi, dan kandungan nutrien Cichorium intybus var. chico. pada regrowth kedelapan. Penelitian dilakukan di Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Gadjah Mada. Cichorium intybus ditanam dalam plot berukuran 1,0 x 1,5 m2. Perlakuan yang dilakukan adalah level pupuk nitrogen 0 kg, 25 kg dan 50 kg N/ha diberikan dalam bentuk pupuk urea. Masing-masing perlakuan dilakukan 3 ulangan. Variabel yang diamati pada penelitian meliputi pertumbuhan vegetatif (tinggi dan panjang tanaman, panjang daun, lebar daun, dan jumlah daun), produksi biomasa hijauan (produksi segar, produksi bahan kering dan produksi bahan organik) serta kandungan nutrien (bahan kering, bahan organik, serat kasar, lemak kasar, protein kasar). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis variansi sesuai rancangan acak lengkap pola searah (one way Anova), beda antar rerata diuji menggunakan uji Duncan Multiple Range Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa level pupuk nitrogen berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap tinggi dan panjang tanaman, panjang daun, lebar daun, produksi biomassa, dan kandungan nutrien tanaman. Produksi tertinggi tanaman untuk sekali panen Cichorium intybus yaitu pada level pupuk nitrogen 50 kg/ha dapat menghasilkan 16,74 ton/ha produksi segar, 1,36 ton/ha bahan kering, dan 1,10 ton/ha bahan organik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa level pupuk nitrogen terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan, produksi dan kandungan nutrien Cichorium intybus varietas chico pada regrowth kedelapan adalah 50 kg/ha.

This study was aimed to determine the effect of nitrogen fertilization levels on growth, biomass production and nutrients content of Cichorium intybus chico variety at eighth regrowth. The study was carried out in the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada. Cichorium intybus was planted in a plot of 1,0 x 1,5 m2. The treatment was done by applying urea fertilizer levels of 0 kg N (N1); 25 kg (N2); dan 50 kg/ha (N3). Variables observed in the study were vegetative growth (plant height and length, leaf length, leaf width and number of leaves), forage biomass production (fresh, dry matter and organic matter production) and nutrients content (dry matter, organic matter, crude fibe, crude protein and ether extract). Data were analysed by using one-way ANOVA and followed by Duncan's New Multiple Range test for significant difference. Each treatment was carried out in 3 replications. The results showed that different of nitrogen fertilizer levels were significant difference for plant height and length, leaf length, leaf width, forage biomass production, nutrients content (P <0,05). The highest production of Cichorium intybus was observed on 50 kg/ha fertilizer that was able to produce 16,74 tons/ha of fresh production, 1,36 tons/ha of dry matter, and 1,10 tons/ha of organic matter. Based on the study, it can be concluded that the best nitrogen fertilizer level on the growth, production and nutrients content of Cichorium intybus chico variety at eighth regrowth was 50 kg/ha.
