STUDI PENYEBAB REJECT BISKUIT OLEH MESIN CREAMING DI PT XYZ, BEKASI, JAWA BARAT

PT XYZ merupakan salah satu industri yang bergerak dibidang pengolahan makanan dan minuman serta menjadi market leader sebagai penghasil produk-produk pelopor. PT XYZ dipimpin langsung oleh Factory Manager yang bertanggung jawab langsung terhadap kelangsungan produksi dan kualitas produk jadi. Selain dituntut untuk menghasilkan produk sesuai jadwal, PT XYZ juga ditunut untuk menjaga kualitas produk dengan cara meminimalisir produk reject. Dalam proses produksi masih terdapat banyak reject yang dihasilkan, jenis reject yang dihasilkan terdiri dari 9 macam. Tujuan dari kegiatan magang ini yaitu untuk mengetahui proses produksi biskuit Sari Gandum Cokelat, mengetahui jenis reject yang dominan pada biskuit Sari Gandum Cokelat, mengetahui penyebab reject biskuit Sari Gandum Cokelat, serta menentukan upaya perbaikan untuk menurunkan presentase reject dengan menggunakan 7 tools, 5 whys analysis, serta tabel 5W 1H untuk mengetahui penyebab masalah, alasan masalah terjadi, bagaimana cara/metode yang dilakukan mengatasi masalah, tempat terjadi masalah, jadwal yang dilakukan untuk penanggulangan masalah, dan orang yang bertanggung jawab untuk masalah tersebut. Setelah ditinjau lebih lanjut, terdapat beberapa aspek yang menyebabkan reject biskuit tinggi yaitu pekerja atau man power, lingkungan, mesin, dan metode.

PT XYZ is one of the industries engaged in food and beverage processing as well as being a market leader as a producer of pioneer products. PT XYZ is led directly by the Factory Manager who is directly responsible for the continuity of production and the quality of the finished product. In addition to the demand to produce products according to schedule, PT XYZ is also required to maintain product quality by minimizing the manufacture of product reject. In the production process there are still a lot of reject produced, the resulting reject type consists of 9 types. Internship program activities were carried out in order to know the production process of Sari Gandum Cokelat biscuits, find out the dominant type of reject, find out the causes of reject, and determine the improvement efforts to reduce the percentage of rejects using 7 tools, 5 why's analysis, 5W 1H table to find out the cause of the problem, the reason the problem occurred, how to overcome the problem, the place where the problem occurred, the schedule undertaken to overcome the problem, and the person responsible for the problem. After further review, there were several aspects that caused high biscuit rejects, namely manpower, environment, machine, and methods.
