KARAKTERISTIK REMAJA PELAKU PERNIKAHAN DAN KAITANNYA DENGAN USIA KAWIN PERTAMA DI PULAU JAWA (SURVEI DEMOGRAFI DAN KESEHATAN INDONESIA 2017)

Pulau Jawa memiliki persentase kejadian pernikahan usia muda yang meningkat berdasarkan dari tahun 2015 hingga 2017. Hal itu sesuai dengan hasil Survei Penduduk Antar Sensus (SUPAS) 2015 dengan persentase 19%, kemudian meningkat menjadi 24% berdasarkan hasil Survei Demografi dan Kesehatan Indonesia (SDKI) 2017. Padahal seperti yang diketahui Jawa merupakan wilayah yang sudah tergolong maju. Peningkatan persentase pernikahan usia muda dipengaruhi oleh usia kawin pertama yang cenderung lebih muda. Penentuan usia menikah pertama pada remaja wanita pelaku pernikahan erat kaitannya dengan kondisi atau karakteristik individu maupun lingkungan dari remaja tersebut. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan karakteristik remaja wanita pelaku pernikahan tahun 2017 di Pulau Jawa serta menguji ada atau tidaknya perbedaan usia kawin pertama menurut karakteristik remaja wanita pelaku pernikahan tahun 2017 di Pulau Jawa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan data SDKI 2017 sebagai data primer. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif berupa frekuensi tunggal dan tabel silang serta analisis statistik inferensial berupa chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa remaja yang telah menikah di Jawa didominasi oleh remaja akhir / dewasa. Hasil uji chi square ke lima variabel yaitu tingkat pendidikan, status pekerjaan, status ekonomi keluarga, daerah pemukiman, dan frekuensi akses internet pada usia kawin pertama semuanya menunjukkan perbedaan usia kawin pertama remaja perempuan menurut karakteristik remaja (p <0,005). Remaja usia kawin pertama <20 tahun lebih banyak yang berpendidikan sekolah menengah, berstatus bekerja, tingkat ekonomi miskin, bertempat tinggal di perdesaan, lebih jarang menggunakan internet. Remaja usia kawin pertama <20 tahun lebih banyak yang berstatus tidak bekerja, tingkat ekonomi kaya, bertempat tinggal di perkotaan, dan lebih sering mengakses internet.

Java has a percentage of young marriage incidences that increase based on 2015 to 2017. This is consistent with the results of the 2015 Inter-census Population Survey (SUPAS) with a percentage of 19%, then increased to 24% based on the results of the Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) 2017. In fact, as is well known, Java is a region that is already considered advanced. The increase in the percentage of young marriages is influenced by the age of first marriage which tends to be younger. Determination of the age of first marriage in adolescent girls perpetrators of early marriage is closely related to the condition or characteristics of individuals and the environment of the teenager. The purpose of this study is to describe the characteristics of 2017 female teenagers who are married in Java and examine the presence or absence of differences in the age of first marriage according to the characteristics of 2017 female teenagers of marriage in Java. This research is a quantitative study using 2017 IDHS data as primary data. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis in the form of a single frequency and cross table and inferential statistical analysis in the form of chi square. The results showed that adolescents who have been married in Java were dominated by late teens / adults. In addition, the results of the chi square test for the five variables, namely education level, employment status, family economic status, residential area, and frequency of internet access at the age of first marriage all show differences in age at first marriage adolescent girls according to adolescent facts (p<0.005). Adolescents aged <20 years old are more likely to have high school education, have a working status, have a poor economic level, live in rural areas, use the internet less frequently. More adolescents aged <20 years of age are not working, have a rich economic level, live in urban areas, and more often access the internet.
