Kebutuhan dan konsumsi susu sapi di Indonesia terus meningkat, peningkatan tersebut berkorelasi positif dengan peningkatan populasi sapi perah yang meningkat setiap tahunnya. Peningkatan jumlah populasi sapi perah berkaitan erat dengan kinerja indukan sapi perah. Tujuan penulisan Tugas Akhir ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi kinerja induk sapi perah di BBPTU-HPT Baturraden periode Januari sampai dengan Februari 2020. Pengambilan data untuk tugas akhir ini dilakukan dengan metode pengukuran langsung terhadap probandus induk sapi perah laktasi, dan melakukan wawancara kepada petugas kandang. Parameter kinerja reproduksi yang diambil datanya yaitu: Service per Conception (S/C); Days Open (DO); dan Calving Interval (CI). Parameter konformasi tubuh yang diukur antara lain: Lingkar Dada (LD); Panjang Badan (PB); dan Lebar Pinggul (LP). Hasil pengambilan data kinerja induk diperoleh rerata S/C adalah 1,8 kali; DO adalah 150 hari; dan CI adalah 14 bulan, sedangkan untuk hasil konformasi tubuh rerata LD adalah 194,2 cm; PB adalah 141,4 cm; dan LP adalah 34,2 cm. Hasil data tersebut membuktikan bahwa rerata kinerja reproduksi dan konformasi tubuh sudah ideal, namun masih perlu ditingkatkan agar kinerja indukan membaik.

The requirement and consumption of dairy milk in Indonesia are increase every year and these escalation are positively correlated with the increase of dairy cow population.The population growth is affected by the cow performance. The purpose of this Final Project is to evaluate the performance of dairy cows in BBPTU-HPT Baturraden periode Januari until Februari 2020. Data for this paper are collected using direct measurement of the probandus of lactating dairy cows, and interviews with the authorized personel. The observed parameters are reproductive performances, which are: Service per Conception (S/C); Days Open (DO); and Calving Interval (CI) and body conformation parameters, which are: Chest Circumference (LD); Body Length (PB); and Hip Width (LP). The results showed that the average S/C is 1.8 times; DO is 150 days; and CI is 14 months, while for the results of conformation the average body LD is 194.2 cm; PB is 141.4 cm; and LP is 34.2 cm. it could be concluded that reproductive and body conformation performance is quite ideal, but it still needs to be improved so that the performance of all of the the dairy cows reach its potential.
