ANALISIS STRUKTUR MODAL PT DHARMA SAMUDERA FISHING INDUSTRIES TBK

Tesis ini merupakan sebuah studi pada PT Dharma Samudera Fishing Industries Tbk (DSFI). DSFI didirikan pada tanggal 2 Oktober 1973. Ruang lingkup kegiatan usaha DSFI meliputi bidang perikanan termasuk mengambil, mengolah, menjual serta menjalankan usaha-usaha dibidang perdagangan hasil perikanan. DSFI memulai usaha komersial pada tahun 1983. Kantor dan pabrik DSFI berkedudukan di Jl. Laks. R.E. Martadinata 1, Tanjung Priok, Jakarta dan mempunyai cabang di Kendari. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis struktur modal optimal perusahaan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian yang menganalisis atau menggambarkan suatu kondisi atau gejala peristiwa yang sedang terjadi saat ini. Penelitian ini akan mengidentifikasi perubahan struktur modal yang berbeda pada perusahaan terhadap nilai perusahaan tersebut. Oleh karena itu, metoda penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan tipe penelitian deskriptif. Pendekatan kuantitatif yang digunakan adalah simulasi rasio utang untuk menentukan weighted average cost of capital (WACC) terendah yang memaksimalkan nilai perusahaan. Prosedur penelitian yang dilakukan adalah mengidentifikasi variabel yang digunakan untuk mengestimasi struktur modal yang optimal. Variabel tersebut terdiri dari levered beta, unlevered beta, risk free rate, risk premium market, estimasi biaya ekuitas, estimasi biaya utang sebelum dan sesudah pajak, estimasi WACC berdasarkan simulasi struktur modal untuk mengetahui struktur modal yang optimal dan membuat kesimpulan. Kondisi saat ini, struktur modal perusahaan adalah 55% utang dan 45% ekuitas. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan dalam penelitian ini, diperoleh struktur modal yang optimal bagi perusahaan adalah 30% utang dan 70% ekuitas. Struktur modal tersebut menghasilkan biaya modal rata-rata tertimbang terendah yaitu sebesar 12,31% dengan nilai perusahaan dan harga saham yang tertinggi yaitu masing-masing sebesar Rp13.723 juta dan Rp72,-. This thesis is a study on PT Dharma Samudera Fishing Industries Tbk (DSFI). DSFI was established on 2 October 1973. The scope of DSFIs activities is to engage in the fishery, including catching, processing, selling and trading fishery products. DSFI started its commercial operations in 1983. DSFIs office and plant are located at Jl. Laks. R.E. Martadinata 1, Tanjung Priok, Jakarta and its branch is located in Kendari. The purpose of this study is to analyze the optimal capital structure of the company. This type of research is a study that analyzes or describes a condition or symptoms of events that are happening today. This study will identify changes in different capital structure of the firm on the performance of the company. Therefore, the research method used in this research is quantitative research with descriptive research type. The quantitative approach used is the simulation of the debt ratio to determine the lowest weighted average cost of capital (WACC) that maximizes firm value of company. The research procedure in this case study is to identification of variable which will be used to estimate the optimal capital structure. The variable consists of unlevered beta, levered beta, free-risk rate, risk premium market, estimate cost of equity, estimate cost of debt before and after tax, estimate WACC based on simulating the capital structure to find out the optimal capital structure and finally to draw a conclusion. At this time, the company's capital structure is 55% debt and 45% equity. After calculating in this research, the optimal capital structure for the company is 30% debt and 70% equity. The capital structure produces the lowest WACC of 12,31% with the highest firm value and stock price of Rp133.723 million and Rp72,, respectively.
