PENGARUH KONDISI TEMPAT TINGGAL TERHADAP PENCAPAIAN PENDIDIKAN SESEORANG DI INDONESIA

Penelitian ini melihat pengaruh dari kondisi tempat tinggal terhadap pencapaian pendidikan seseorang di Indonesia. Data yang digunakan adalah data panel dari Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) gelombang empat pada tahun 2007-2008 dan gelombang lima pada tahun 2014-2015. Sampel terdiri dari 13,799 anggota rumah tangga untuk survei gelombang empat dan 13,009 anggota rumah tangga untuk survei gelombang lima. Metode analitik yang digunakan adalah Linear Probability Model dan Regresi Logit. Hasil estimasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan, variabel karakteristik tempat tinggal berupa sumber air, tempat pembuangan limbah, tempat pembuangan sampah, bahan bakar memasak, dan kepemilikan TV berpengaruh positif dan kuat terhadap pencapaian pendidikan seseorang di Indonesia. Namun status kepemilikan rumah tidak signifikan berpengaruh terhadap pencapaian pendidikan seseorang. This study looks at the effect of characteristics of residence on the educational attainment of people in Indonesia. The data used are panel data from wave four of the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) in 2007-2008 and wave five in 2014- 2015. The sample consisted of 13,799 household members for the fourth wave survey and 13,009 household members for the fifth wave survey. The analytical method used is the Linear Probability Model and Logit Regression. The estimation results of this study indicate that overall, variables of residence characteristics such as water sources, waste dump, garbage dump, cooking fuel, and TV ownership have a positive and strong effect on the educational attainment of people in Indonesia. However, home ownership status does not significantly influence people's educational attainment.
