Tujuan sebuah perusahaan adalah memperoleh keuntungan, keuntungan dapat menggambarkan kinerja keuangan perusahaan. Kinerja keuangan perusahaan dapat diukur menggunakan Rasio Keuangan salah satunya rasio profitabilitas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kinerja keungan PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk tahun 2016-2018 berdasarkan Rasio Profitabilitas (Gross Profit Margin (GPM), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return On Assets (ROA), Return On Equity (ROE) dan merumuskan upaya yang harus dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kinerja keuangan di sisi profitabilitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan dasar laporan tahunan PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk tahun 2016-2018 dan data keuangan dari perusahaan petrokimia lain yang terdaftar pada Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Dari hasil penelitian menunjukakan kinerja keuangan menurut Rasio Profitabilitas mengalami penurunan di setiap tahunnya dan berada di atas rata-rata industri petrokimia, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kinerja keuangan perusahaan dalam menghasilkan profitabilitas pada industri petrokimia masih dikatakan efektif.

The purpose of a company is gaining profit, profits can illustrate the company's financial performance. The company's financial performance can be measured using the financial ratio of one of the profitability ratios. The purpose of this research is to analyse the performance of PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical TBK in 2016-2018 based on the profitability ratio (Gross Profit Margin (GPM), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return On Assets (ROA), Return On Equity (ROE) and formulate efforts to be done to improve financial performance on the profitability. The study used the basis of the annual report of PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk in 2016-2018 and financial data from other petrochemical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The results of the study showed that financial performance according to the profitability ratio decreased annually and was above the petrochemical industry average, so it can be concluded that the company's financial performance in generating profitability in the petrochemical industry is still said to be effective.
