PT. Mayora Indah Tbk. adalah perusahaan yang tergabung dalam grup perusahaan Mayora Group yang bergerak di bidang pengolahan makanan dan minuman. Pengemasan merupakan hal yang penting dalam menjaga kualitas produk dan menjaga shelf life produk. Pengemasan akan menjadi pertahanan terakhir produk untuk berhadapan dengan keadaan lingkungan yang tidak menentu. Proses pengemasan perlu dilakukan dengan baik sesuai dengan prosedur yang ada untuk mencegah kegagalan pengemasan. Contoh kegagalan pengemasan pada kemasan Astor Singles isi 2 adalah center seal kemasan terlipat, kemasan meleleh, kemasan lecet, end seal kemasan terlipat, dan trapping. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi potensi trapping pada kemasan produk Astor Singles isi 2. Masalah cacat kemasan trapping adalah cacat kemasan yang berasal dari kegagalan proses sealing kemasan karena kotoran cream atau remahan kue yang terjebak di dalam center seal kemasan cellophane Astor, sehingga kemasan berpotensi mengalami kebocoran yang mengakibatkan produk memiliki shelf life yang pendek (mudah melempem atau tidak renyah). Hold product karena cacat kemasan trapping menghambat hasil produksi sebesar 2,64%, kuantiti cacat kemasan trapping mengurangi hasil produksi sebesar 0,18% dan menimbulkan ketidakefisienan waktu produksi sebesar 60,4%. Penyelesaian masalah dilakukan dengan metode wawancara, failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), dan five why�¢ï¿½ï¿½s analysis. Hasil analisis menghasilkan improvement berupa perintah membersihkan stopper setiap 30 menit, pembuatan roll bearing, pembuatan scrapper pembersih pada mesin bungkus, training one point lesson (OPL) pemasukan kue dalam hopper mesin bungkus yang baik, memperpanjang conveyor dan training one point lesson (OPL) pembersihan mesin bungkus yang baik.

Packing process needs to be done well according to the existing procedure to prevent packaging failure. Examples of packing failures on the Astor Singles isi 2 packaging are folded packing seal centers, melt packaging, blister packs, folding packing end seals, and trapping. The study aims to reduce the potential trapping on the product packaging of the Astor Singles contents 2. The problem of trapping packaging defects is a packaging defect that comes from the failure of the sealing packaging process due to cream dirt or baking cake stuck inside the box seal packing cellophane Astor, so that the packaging could potentially leak that resulted in the product has a short shelf life (easy to throw or not crisp). Hold product because the trapping packaging defect inhibits the production yield of 2.64%, the quantity of packaging defects trapping reduces the yield by 0.18% and raises production time inefficmentality by 60.4%. Troubleshooting is done with the interview method, failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), and five why's analysis. The results of the analysis resulted in an improvement in order to clean the stopper every 30 minutes, roll bearing manufacture, manufacture of scrapper cleaning in the machine wrap, training one point lesson (OPL) cake intake in hopper good wrap machine, extending conveyor and training one point lesson (OPL) Good wrap machine cleaning.
