Uji Hemaglutinasi Inhibisi terhadap Newcastle Disease pada Serum Ayam Broiler di Balai Besar Veteriner Wates Yogyakarta Tahun 2019

Newcastle disease (ND) merupakan penyakit yang menyerang sistem pernapasan, pencernaan, atau gangguan saraf pada berbagai jenis unggas, terutama pada ayam. Tingkat kematian akibat virus ini sebesar 100% saat terjadi wabah dari 9 sampel yang positif. Deteksi antibodi terhadap ND dalam serum bermanfaat untuk mengetahui status kesehatan ayam. Tugas Akhir bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil uji skrining penyakit berdasarkan antibodi dalam sampel serum Ayam Broiler yang terinfeksi virus ND. Metode yang dilakukan untuk menentukan titer antibodi pada ayam adalah uji Hemaglutinasi Inhibisi. Hasil uji skrining sampel serum yang positif adalah 9 dari 10 sampel, dari 9 sampel yang positif tersebut 3 sampel menunjukkan titer yang protektif terhadap virus ND. Kesimpulan pada pemeriksaan sampel serum ayam broiler di Balai Besar Veteriner Wates Yogyakarta berdasarkan uji HI, 90% menunjukkan seropositif, titer yang protektif 30%.

Newcastle disease (ND) is a disease that attacks the respiratory system, digestive, or nervous disorders on the different types of poultry, especially in chickens. The death rate due to this virus is 100% of the outbreak from 9 samples are positive. Detection of antibodies against ND in the serum is beneficial to know the status of the health of the chicken. The Final Project aims to determine the test result of screening of the disease by antibodies in the serum samples of broiler chicken that is infected with a ND virus. The method performed to determine the antibody titer in the chicken is the Hemagglutination Inhibition test. The test results screening of serum samples positive is 9 out of 10 samples, 9 samples are positive 3 samples show a protective titer against the virus ND. Conclusion on the examination of samples of serum of broiler chickens in the Balai Besar Veteriner Wates Yogyakarta based on the HI test, 90% showed seropositive, a protective titer of 30%.
