Kejadian Penyakit Newcastle Disease di Balai Besar Veteriner Wates Yogyakarta

Newcastle Disease (ND) merupakan penyakit menular pada saluran pernapasan yang disebabkan oleh virus Avian paramyxovirus-1 dari keluarga Paramyxoviridae. Tujuan dari tugas akhir ini adalah mengetahui kasus kejadian dan perubahan patologi Newcastle Disease di wilayah kerja Balai Besar Veteriner Wates Yogyakarta. Penyusunan tugas akhir ini berdasarkan pengumpulan data positif Newcastle Disease di Laboratorium Patologi dan rekap tabulasi data dari Laboratorium Epidemiologi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan degan cara mengikuti kegiatan di laboratorium, pengamatan, dan wawancara langsung dengan pegawai Balai Besar Veteriner Wates Yogyakarta. Pada tahun 2019 tercatat sebanyak 36 kasus dari 429 sampel hewan dan organ yang diuji di Balai Besar Veteriner Wates Yogyakarta dan berdasarkan data pemeriksaan untuk mengetahui adanya perubahan patologi pada Newcastle Disease adalah dengan cara nekropsi dan pembuatan preparat histopatologi dengan pewarnaan Hematoxylin dan Eosin (HE). Persentase kejadian Newcastle Disease tahun 2019 sebesar 8,45%. Ayam yang terinfeksi Avian paramyxovirus-1 menunjukkan gejala klinis lemah lesu dan bulu kusam. Secara makroskopis tampak adanya eksudat di trakea. Secara mikroskopis terlihat infiltrasi sel limfosit pada intestinum dan bursa fabricius, enteritis, proventrikulitis, hemoragi proventrikulus, dan hemoragi sekum.

Newcastle Disease (ND) is an infectious disease of the respiratory tract caused by the Avian paramyxovirus-1 from the Paramyxoviridae family. The purpose of this graduating paper is to find out the cases and changes in pathology of Newcastle Disease at Wates Veterinary Center Yogyaakarta based on data of positif of Newcastle Disease from Pathology Laboratory and recap data from the Epidemiology Laboratory. The collecting data wasconducted by followin daily activities in the laboratory, observing, and interview with the staffs at Wates Veterinery Center Yogyakarta. In 2019, there were 36 cases of Newcastle Disease from 429 samples of animals and organs tested in Wates Newcastle Disease Veterinary Center Yogyakarta. Based on the examination data to find out the pathological changes in Newcastle Disease is by necropsy and histopathological preparation stained by Hematoxyline and Eosin (H&E). The percentage of the incidence of Newcastle Disease in 2019 is 8.45%. The clinical sigh of chickens infected with Avian Paramyxovirus-1 is lethargic and have dull fur. Macroscopically have exudate in trachea. Microscopically looks Infiltration of lymphocytes in intestinum and exchanges fabricius, enteritis, proventiculitis, hemorrhagi in proventriculus, and hemorrhagi in cecum.
