Kemajuan teknologi membawa perubahan pada bagaimana industri bisnis melakukan prosesnya. Beberapa perbaikan diterapkan untuk menjaga daya saing perusahaan di pasar. Sebagian besar perusahaan saat ini menerapkan inovasi disruptive untuk terus bersaing yang mempengaruhi kinerja industri logistik. Akan tetapi, Indonesia masih menghadapi infrastruktur yang tidak efektif, biaya logistik yang tinggi, dan kondisi logistik Indonesia yang buruk yang menjadi masalah sekarang dan perlu dibenahi, terutama untuk bersaing dengan negara-negara tetangga atau negara-negara ASEAN ketika perjanjian pasar bebas disahkan. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan deskripsi deduktif, makalah tesis ini bertujuan untuk memahami peran pemerintah dalam kinerja industri logistik dan bagaimana pemerintah Indonesia harus bereaksi dalam rangka mengembangkan infrastruktur Indonesia untuk meningkatkan kinerja logistik Indonesia.

The advancement of technology bring change to how business industry conduct its process. Some improvements are implemented in order to maintain the company's competitiveness in the market. Most of the companies today are applying the disruption innovation to keep on the competition that affecting the performance of logistic industry. However, However, Indonesia still face the ineffective infrastructure, high logistics cost and poor conditions of Indonesian logistic that become an issue now and needed to be taken care of, especially to compete with its neighboring countries or ASEAN peers when the common market agreements comes into effect into the region. Using qualitative method and deductive description, this thesis paper aims to understand the role of the government in the logistic industry performance and how the government of Indonesia should react in order to develop the Indonesian infrastructure in order to improve the Indonesian logistic performance.
