JJudul penelitian "Perkembangan YouTube dari 2014-2019 sebagai Open Source Software dalam Perspektif Program Riset Ilmiah Imre Lakatos", berobjek material pada Perkembangan YouTube dari 2014-2019 sebagai Open Source Software dengan objek formal Program Riset Ilmiah Imre Lakatos. YouTube merupakan salah satu produk teknologi yang diciptakan atas keresahan dari pendirinya yang diawali dengan keinginan untuk mengunduh video ke media sosial, untuk menyebarkan serta menda-patkan pengakuan atas hasil karyanya kepada publik. YouTube memiliki Inti Pokok, yaitu visi, misidan lisensi yang menjadi komponen utama dalam perkembangannya dan didukung oleh Lingkaran Pelindung, yaitu fitur, sanksi dan kreatifitas dalam pembuatan konten yang selaras dengan kerangka teori pemikiran Imre Lakatos Pro-gram Riset Ilmiah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang berangkat dari masalah fak-tual dan aktual mengenai media elektronik era millenial yang dilakukan melalui studi pustakadan pengamatan terhadap video konten YouTube. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskripsi, interpretasi, koherensi intern, dan holisti-ka.Metode penelitian tersebut, digunakan untuk membantu peneliti dalam mencari pemecahan masalah yang telah menjadi pertanyaan pada rumusan masalah. Tujuan dibentuknya YouTube dengan memberikan kebebasan untuk dapat mengakses program tersebut open source software berbasis terbuka tanpa memerlukan biaya tambahan administrasi. Imre Lakatos melalui pemikirinanya men-yatakan, sebagai kajian pokok dalam penelitian dan visi misi serta lisensi yang bertindak sebagai inti pokok yang didukung oleh fitur-fitur, konten-konten dari pengguna dalam hal ini adalah aplikasi Youtube itu sendiri yang dijadikan sebagai landasan serta lingkaran pelindung untuk mempertahankan Inti Pokok dalam perkembangan ilmu dan teknologi.

This research is entitled "The Development of You Tube from 2014 to 2019 as an Open Source Software in the Perspective of Imre Lakatos Scientific Research Program". The research uses the development of YouTube from 2014 to 2019 as an Open Source Software and makes Imre Lakatos Scientific Research Program as its formal object. You Tube is one of the technological products initially created by its founder as a way to download videos to social media, spread them and get recognition for their work to the public. You Tube has vision, mission and license which become the main components in its development. It is supported by Protection System, namely: its features, sanctions and content creativity which are compatible with Scientific Re-search Program. This is a qualitative research. The research is based on factual and actual issues concerning digital media in the millineal era. It was carried out by conducting library research and observations on You Tube video contents. The researcher applies descriptive, interpretative, internal internal coherence, and holistic methods. Hence, the methods used enables the researcher to find out the answers as set in the formulation of the problems. The purpose of creating You Tube is to allow users to access the program using open source software without additional administrative costs. The perspective of Imre Lakatos states that the main study in this research is the vision, mission, and licensing as it is also supported by its features, the contents of users, and the protection system to keep its main core idea in developing science and technology.
