PERGESERAN BENTUK DAN MAKNA DALAM TEKS TERJEMAHAN FILM COCO

Penelitian yang berjudul "Pergeseran Bentuk dan Makna dalam Teks Terjemahan Film Coco" bertujuan untuk mengklasifikasikan pergeseran bentuk dan pergeseran makna yang ditemukan dalam teks terjemahan film Coco. Teknik yang digunakan pada tahap penyediaan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik simak bebas libat cakap dan teknik catat. Tahap analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode agih yang alat penentunya berupa bagian dari bahasa yang diteliti, yaitu bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa sumber dan bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa sasaran. Sementara itu, tahap penyajian hasil analisis disajikan secara informal. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori pergeseran bentuk yang dikemukakan oleh Catford dan teori pergeseran makna yang dikemukakan oleh Simatupang. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya pergeseran bentuk yang berupa pergeseran tataran dan pergeseran kategori. Pegeseran kategori terdiri dari pergeseran struktur, pergeseran kelas kata, pergeseran unit, dan pergeseran intrasistem. Kemudian, ditemukan juga pergeseran makna yang berupa pergeseran makna dari makna spesifik ke makna generik, pergeseran makna dari makna generik ke makna spesifik, dan pergeseran makna karena perbedaan sudut pandang budaya. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pergeseran dapat terjadi karena (1) bahasa sumber dan bahasa sasaran memiliki aturan yang berbeda, (2) pergeseran merupakan suatu keharusan, (3) penutur bahasa sumber dan bahasa sasaran memiliki budaya yang berbeda, dan sebagainya. Hal tersebut terjadi saat penerjemah mengubah bentuk bahasa sumber menjadi bentuk bahasa sasaran agar berterima dan makna dalam bahasa sumber dapat tersampaikan dengan baik.

The purpose of this research, entitled "Translation Shifts of Form and Meaning in the Subtitle of Coco Movie", is to classify the form shifts and meaning shifts that are found in the Coco movie's subtitle. Data in this research are identified by using the uninvolved conversation observation technique and writing technique. The distributional method is used to analyze the data that have been identified in this research. It uses part of the language as a determinant, that is part of English as the source language and Indonesian language as the target language in this research. Catford's theory about the translation shifts of form and Simatupang's theory about meaning shifts are used to analyze the data. Then, the result of this research is presented informally. Based on the analysis that has been done, result of this research shows that form shifts, which are level shifts and category shifts, are found in the subtitle of Coco movie. Category shifts consist of structure shifts, class shifts, unit shifts, and intrasystem shifts. Then, meaning shifts are also found in this research. The meaning shifts consist of meaning shifts from specific to generic meaning, meaning shifts from generic to specific meaning, and meaning shifts due to differences in cultural perspective. Thus, it can be inferred that the shifts occur because (1) source language and target language have different rules, (2) the translation shifts is a necessity, (3) speakers of the source language and target language have different cultures, and so on. It happens when the translator changes the form of the source language into the form of the target language in order to be accepted and so that the meaning from the source language can be conveyed properly.
