Studi ini mempunyai dua tujuan, yang pertama, bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh tingkat diversifikasi perusahaan terhadap kinerja keuangan pada Perusahaan Sektor Konstruksi Bangunan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) Tahun 2014 - 2018. Sementara tujuan kedua adalah untuk melihat perbedaan kinerja keuangan apabila dibagi kedalam jenis perusahaan milik pemerintah dan swasta. Mengacu Doukas dan Ozgur (2008) yang menyimpulkan bahwa perusahaan cenderung melakukan proses diversifikasi ke lini bisnis lain ketika kondisi arus kas/keuangan dari bisnis inti mereka tertinggal jauh dibandingkan dengan lainnya. Maka menarik dilihat apakah proses diversifikasi yang telah dilakukan oleh perusahaan sektor konstruksi bangunan saat ini memiliki dampak yang baik terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan tersebut.

This study has two objectives, the first, which aims to analyze the effect of the level of diversification of companies on financial performance in the Building Construction Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2014 - 2018. While the second objective is to see differences in financial performance when divided into types of government-owned and private companies. Referring to Doukas and Ozgur (2008) who concluded that companies tend to diversify into other lines of business when the cash / financial flow conditions of their core businesses lag behind those of others. So it is interesting to see whether the diversification process carried out by the building construction sector company currently has a good impact on the financial performance of the company
