REAKSI SAHAM DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA TERHADAP PEMILIHAN PRESIDEN (TAHUN 2014 VERSUS 2019)

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk meneliti reaksi harga saham perusahaan di Indonesia terhadap political events pemilihan presiden tahun 2014 dan juga pada tahun 2019. Event yang dipilih adalah pengumuman hasil pemungutan suara pemilihan presiden dari Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) yang dilaksanakan pada tahun 2014 jatuh pada tanggal 22 juli 2014, sementara pada tahun 2019 pengumuman hasil pemungutan suara pemilihan presiden dilaksanakan pada 22 Mei 2019. Perusahaan yang dijadikan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2014-2018. Prosedur pemilihan sampel diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan melibatkan 41 perusahaan yang terdaftar pada indeks LQ45 pada tahun 2014 dan 39 perusahaan yang terdaftar pada indeks LQ45 pada tahun 2019. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemilihan presiden sebagai event mempengaruhi abnormal return dan cumulative abnormal return.

This study is to discuss the reaction of the company's stock prices in Indonesia to the political events of the presidential election result announcement by General Election Commission (KPU). in the 2014 the formal announcement of presidential election is scheduled for the 22 of July 2014, while in 2019 the presidential election was held on 21 May 2019. The companies sampled in this study were companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2019. The sample selection procedure was obtained using a purposive sampling method involving 41 companies listed on the LQ45 index in 2014 and 39 companies listed on the LQ45 index in 2019. The results of this study indicate how the presidential election as an event that affects the movement of abnormal returns and cumulative abnormal returns.
