FAKTA-FAKTA CERITA DAN TEMA NOVEL TELEMBUK KARYA KEDUNG DARMA ROMANSHA ANALISIS STRUKTURAL ROBERT STANTON

ABSTRAK Novel adalah bacaan yang mengandung cerita yang dibangun oleh unsur intrinsik, misalnya fakta-fakta cerita, tema, penokohan, alur, dan latar untuk dikonsumsi pembaca. Objek kajian dalam penelitian ialah Novel Telembuk karya Kedung Dharma Romansha. Penelitian ini mengaplikasikan teori struktural Robert Stanton yang berkaitan dengan struktur novel Telembuk. Penelitian terhadap unsur pembangun novel ini lebih terfokus pada fakta-fakta cerita dan tema. Fakta-fakta cerita meliputi alur, penokohan, dan latar. Hasil penelitian ini ialah, pertama, Novel Telembuk memiliki hubungan antara tokoh utama cerita yaitu Safitri dengan tokoh bawahan yaitu, Carta, Govar, Aan, Mang Kaslan, Mang Alek, dan lain-lain, dengan membentuk alur yang menyatukan cerita. Dinamika peristiwa yang terjadi diantaranya pertemuan antartokoh, penegasan karakter tokoh, dan sikap yang diambil tokoh dalam menyelesaikan konflik. Dapat ditemukan tema Novel Telembuk adalah persoalan cinta, perebutan kekuasaan, dan kesulitan ekonomi dan penyimpangan sosial. Dengan melakukan analisis struktural pada Novel Telembuk maka dapat ditemukan adanya unsur-unsur yang saling berhubungan membentuk kesatuan dalam cerita.

ABSTRACT Novels are readings that contain stories built by intrinsic elements, for example facts of the story, themes, characterizations, plot, and settings for the reader to consume. The object of study in this research is the Telembuk Novel by Kedung Dharma Romansha. This study applies Robert Stanton's structural theory related to the structure of the Telembuk novel. Research on the building elements of this novel is more focused on the facts of the story and theme. The facts of the story include plot, characterization, and setting. The results of this study are, first, the Telembuk novel has a relationship between the main character of the story namely Safitri with subordinate characters namely, Carta, Govar, Aan, Mang Kaslan, Mang Alek, and others, by forming a plot that unites the story. The dynamics of events that occur include meetings between leaders, affirmation of character figures, and attitudes taken by leaders in resolving conflicts. The theme of the Telembuk Novel can be found is the issue of love, power struggles, and economic difficulties and social deviations. By conducting structural analysis on the Telembuk Novel, it can be found that there are interconnected elements forming a unity in the story.
