Implementasi Competency Framework pada eLOK UGM

Pertumbuhan pembelajar Indonesia yang menguasai IPTEK sangat pesat beberapa tahun terakhir. Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) merupakan jenis pembelajaran daring yang sedang populer dan dapat memperluas akses pendidikan tinggi untuk masyarakat Indonesia. Universitas Gadjah Mada memiliki Learning Management System (LMS) berbasis Moodle bernama e-Learning: Open for Knowledge Sharing (eLOK) yang digunakan untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran MOOC. Dalam pelaksanaannya, eLOK menggunakan konsep Blended Learning dan OBE (Outcome Based Education). OBE memerlukan hal yang bernama Compentecy Framework untuk mengaitkan aktivitas pembelajaran, materi, dan sistem penilaian. Moodle sudah memiliki fitur Competency Framework, tetapi ekplorasinya masih kurang dan belum ada cara untuk memvisualisasikan hasil kinerjanya. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mendefinisikan komponen-komponen penting dalam implementasi Competency Framework pada eLOK, mengkonfigurasi Competency Framework yang sesuai, dan mengembangkan aplikasi web berbentuk dashboard untuk memvisualisasikan hasil kinerjanya. Ekplorasi fitur Competency Framework dilakukan pada kelas Transformasi Digital yang disimulasikan secara localhost. Setelah itu, RPKPS kelas tersebut dijadikan dasar untuk mengkonfigurasi Competency Framework yang kemudian diimplementasikan pada kelas simulasi. Selanjutnya, dilakukan simulasi pengujian yang hasilnya diambil oleh aplikasi dashboard melalui API untuk diproses dan divisualisasikan. Hasil dari tugas akhir ini adalah tiga komponen penting dalam implementasi Competency Framework yaitu competencies, taxonomies, dan courses. Selanjutnya, berdasar RPKPS, dikonfigurasi sebuah Competency Framework yang memiliki dua tingkat taxonomy yakni Outcomes dan Competencies. Terakhir, agar dapat membantu dalam evaluasi Competency Framework, aplikasi dashboard dirancang agar dapat memvisualisasikan persentase kelulusan untuk tiap competency, nilai rata-rata, tertinggi, dan terendah untuk tiap competency, menampilkan kriteria performa dari Competency Framework, dan hal-hal lain.

There is a significant rise in tech savvy learners in Indonesia. MOOC or Massively Open Online Course is a type of popular online learning that could be the answer for a more accessible higher education in Indonesia. UGM has a Moodle based Learning Management System (LMS) called e-Learning: Open for Knowledge Sharing (eLOK) in which MOOC learning is held. In its practice, eLOK uses concepts such as Blended Learning and Outcome Based Education (OBE). OBE needs something called a Competency Framework that can connect learning activities, learning resources and assessments. Moodle already has this Competency Framework feature but it is not yet explored and there�s no way to visualize its performance. This Final Project aims to identify the important components in regards to the implementation of Competency Framework, design a Competency Framework that is suitable, and also develop a web based application in the form of a dashboard to help visualize its performance. Exploration on Competency Framework is conducted on a locally hosted Digital Transformation class. Then, based on the RPKPS of the class, a Competency Framework will be made and then implemented to the class. After that, an examination simulation will be held. The results of the simulation will be taken by the dashboard via an API, processed, and then visualized. The results of this final project are the three important components of Competency Framework implementation, which are competencies, taxonomies, and course. After that, based on the RPKPS, a Competency Framework with two levels of taxonomy, Outcomes and Competencies is created. Finally, in order to help evaluate the Competency Framework, the dashboard is designed to visualize the percentage of passed students in each competency, the average, highest, and lowest grades in each competency, the percentage of submission and completion of examinations, and also display the performance criteria of the Competency Framework.
