Keluhan Oral Akibat Penggunaan Obat Antihipertensi di Poliklinik Penyakit Dalam RSUD Dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen

Hipertensi adalah keadaan ketika tekanan darah meningkat secara kronis dan biasanya tanpa gejala. Penanganan hipertensi secara farmakologis bertujuan untuk mendapatkan efek terapeutik, namun terkadang efek samping obat antihipertensi pada rongga mulut juga tidak dapat dihindari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keluhan oral pada pasien pengguna obat antihipertensi di Poliklinik Penyakit Dalam RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Penelitian dilakukan di Poliklinik Penyakit Dalam RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen dengan melibatkan 55 responden hipertensi. Keluhan oral bersifat subyektif dan didapatkan dari wawancara menggunakan panduan daftar pertanyaan yang terstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan responden perempuan (56,4%) lebih banyak dari responden laki-laki (43,6%). Obat antihipertensi yang paling banyak digunakan yaitu Amlodipin (49,1%). Keluhan oral yang paling banyak dirasakan responden adalah xerostomia (61,8%), diikuti oleh pembesaran gusi (36,3%), nyeri aftosa (27,2%), dysgeusia (25,4%), sensasi mulut terbakar (10,9%), pembesaran bibir (10,9%), dan nyeri dengan lesi merah (1,8%). Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini yaitu konsumsi obat antihipertensi dapat menimbulkan beberapa keluhan oral dengan keluhan yang paling sering yaitu xerostomia.

Hypertension is a condition when blood pressure rises chronically and usually asymptomatic. Pharmacological treatment of hypertension is usually aimed to get a therapeutic effect, but the side effects in the oral cavity are also unavoidable. The purpose of this study was to determine oral complaints of patiens with antihypertensive drugs in the Internal Medicine Clinic of Dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Hospital, Sragen. Descriptive method with cross sectional study design was caried out in this study. The study was conducted at the Internal Medicine Clinic of Dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Hospital involved 55 respondents with hypertensive drug. The responses of the oral complaints were obtained subjectively from interview using structured questions guide line. The results showed that the number of female subjects (56.4%) were more than that of male subjects (43.6%). Amlodipin was the most drug used by the respondents (49.1%). The most common oral complaints felt by respondents were xerostomia (61.8%), followed by gum enlargement (36.3%), aphthous pain (27.2%), dysgeusia (25.4%), burning mouth sensation (10.9%), lip enlargement (10.9%), and pain with red lesions (1.8%). It can be concluded that consumption of antihypertensive drug causes several oral complaints with xerostomia is the most frequent oral complaint.
