Policy Implementation of Energy in Indonesia: In the Case of Natural Gas Network for Household

The success of policy implementation on the government's project towards the natural gas network for household infrastructure aiming to support the national energy policies requires dedication and support from all aspects both in the form of action and legal documents. This research was aimed to analyze the implementation of the policy by discussing the realization of the natural gas network for the household project in Indonesia. This research has, thus, discovered how the natural gas network for the household project in Indonesia can be implemented in line with the target and refers to energy policy in Indonesia. This study emphasized on the use of public administration literature about policy implementation. Besides, the extensive use of law and regulation about energy in Indonesia and the data taken directly from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Gas Negara Company (PGN), NAWACITA were also used. Additionally, an in-depth interview with the stakeholder who involved in the Natural Gas Network for Household project was also conducted to understand more about the project. This result provided an alignment that the implementation of the Natural Gas Network for the Household project already runs effectively. It showed that there was a clear regulation, action, purpose, and stakeholders in implementing the project.
