Topik tentang keberlanjutan (Sustainability) menjadi semakin krusial dalam dunia bisnis, termasuk di industri mode (Fashion). United Nations (PBB) memiliki agenda bernama Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs), yang terdiri dari 17 tujuan yang saling terhubung, yang dibangun sebagai tujuan bersama untuk semua negara. Dalam proses membangun keberlanjutan mereka sendiri, perusahaan mode akan secara bersamaan berupaya menuju pencapaian SDG tersebut. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menganalisia kontribusi yang telah dilakukan oleh industri mode terhadap pencapaian SDG, khususnya SDG 12, dari pengelolaan limbah pakaian yang baik, dan cara meningkatkannya. Tinjauan literatur dari jurnal ilmiah, artikel profesional, serta laporan keberlanjutan oleh perusahaan di industri mode digunakan sebagai metode dalam melakukan penelitian ini. Temuan dari penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mendukung mahasiswa, peneliti lain, serta perusahaan yang terkait dengan topik ini untuk lebih memahami bagaimana industri mode dan keberlanjutan saling mempengaruhi.

Sustainability has become an emerging concern in businesses, including those in the fashion industry. The United Nations has an agenda named the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which consists of 17 interconnected goals built as a common goal for every nation. In the process of working on their own sustainability, fashion companies will then be simultaneously working on those SDGs. This paper will analyze the contribution the fashion industry has made towards the attainment of SDG, specifically SDG 12, from properly managing clothing waste and how to possibly enhance it. Literature review from reliable scientific journals, professional articles, as well as sustainability reports by company in the fashion industry are used as a method in doing this research. The findings from this research is intended to support students, other researchers, as well as companies related to this topic to better understand how the fashion industry and sustainability affect each other.
