Pengaruh Media Tanam Cocopeat dan Air Kelapa Muda terhadap Pertumbuhan Awal Bibit Kopi Arabika (Coffea arabica L.)

Penelitian yang berjudul Pengaruh Media Tanam Cocopeat dan Air Kelapa Muda terhadap Pertumbuhan Awal Bibit Kopi Arabika (Coffea arabica L.) bertujuan untuk menemukan media tanam dan konsentrasi air kelapa muda terbaik untuk pembibitan kopi arabika. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei sampai Agustus 2019 di Cangkringan, Kabupaten Sleman, Yogyakarta. Kebutuhan bibit tanaman kopi Arabika untuk pembukaan lahan baru sangat tinggi dan metode pembibitan yang efektif dibutuhkan. Penggunaan tanah sebagai media tanam pembibitan akan mengurangi lapisan humus tanah dan mengakibatkan degradasi lahan. Pemberian air kelapa muda sebagai zat pengatur tumbuh dapat mempercepat periode pembibitan. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) dengan 2 faktor dan 3 blok sebagai ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah media tanam yang terdiri atas tanah 100 % (M1), tanah 50 % ditambah cocopeat 50 % (M2), dan cocopeat 100 % (M3) yang dikombinasikan dengan faktor kedua. Faktor kedua adalah beragam air kelapa muda sebagai zat pengatur tumbuh pada konsentrasi 25, 50, 75 dan 100 %. Hasil menunjukkan tidak terjadi interaksi antara faktor pertama dan kedua. Media tanam tanah 50 % ditambah cocopeat 50 % dapat menjadi pilihan dalam pembibitan kopi Arabika S 795. Pemberian air kelapa sebagai zat pengatur tumbuh memberikan pengaruh beda nyata terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman kopi Arabika S 795.

The study entitled The Effects of Cocopeat Planting Medium and Coconut Water on Early Growth of Arabica Coffeea aims to obtain the best planting medium and concentration of coconut water which the best for Arabica coffees growth. This research was conducted from May to August 2019 in Cangkringan, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta. The needs for Arabica coffee plant seeds for new land developing is very high and efective nursery methods are needed. The use soil as a nursery planting medium will reduce the topsoil and cause land degradation. Provision of coconut water as a growth regulator can accelerate the nursery period. The study used a Completed Randomized Block Design (RCBD) with 2 factors dan 3 blocks as replications. The first factor is the planting media that consist of 100 % soil (M1), 50 % soil plus 50 % cocopeat (M2), and 100 % cocopeat (M3) combined with the second factor. The second factor is the variety of coconut water as a growth regulator at 25, 50, 75 and 100 % concentration. The result showed that no interaction between the first and second factors. Media contains 50 % soil plus 50 % cocopeat can be an option for Arabica coffee S 795 Nurseries. The provision of coconut water as growth regulator has a significant influence on the growth of Arabica coffee S 795.
