KARAKTERISTIK MORFOLOGI DAN PRODUKSI BIOMASSA Panicum coloratum cv. Bambatsi, Digitaria eriantha cv. Premier, Brachiaria decumbens PADA REGROWTH KEDUA DAN KETIGA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik morfologi, dan produksi biomassa Panicum coloratum cv. Bambatsi, Digitaria eriantha cv. Premier, dan Brachiaria decumbens yang ditanam di Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Materi yang digunakan adalah tanaman Panicum coloratum cv. Bambatsi, Digitaria eriantha cv. Premier, dan Brachiaria decumbens. Biji Panicum coloratum, Digitaria eriantha, dan Brachiaria decumbens ditanam dalam plot berukuran 1 m2 dengan cara disebar, dan masing-masing tanaman mendapat pengulangan 3 kali. Produksi biomassa diambil dari produksi panen ketiga (regrowth kedua) dan produksi panen keempat (regrowth ketiga). Produksi biomassa Panicum coloratum cv. Bambatsi pada regrowth kedua yaitu 1,06 ton/ha (dalam BK), dengan kadar BK 23,29%, kadar BO 89,65% dan pada regrowth ketiga memiliki produksi biomassa 1,47 ton/ha (dalam BK) dengan kadar BK 24,03%, kadar BO 90,08%. Produksi biomassa Digitaria eriantha cv. Premier pada regrowth kedua yaitu 1,94 ton/ha (dalam BK) dengan kadar BK 26,72%, kadar BO 89,79%, dan pada regrowth ketiga memiliki produksi biomassa 2,22 ton/ha (dalam BK) dengan kadar BK 26,95%, kadar BO 90,05%. Produksi biomassa Brachiaria decumbens pada regrowth kedua yaitu 4,59 ton/ha (dalam BK) dengankadar BK 23,86%, kadar BO 89,71%, dan pada regrowth ketiga memiliki produksi biomassa 5,54 ton/ha (dalam BK) dengan kadar BK 24,82%, kadar BO 89,89%. Kesimpulan yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah produksi rumput Brachiaria decumbens paling tinggi dibanding Panicum coloratum cv. Bambatsi, Digitaria eriantha cv. Premier. Produksi pada regrowth ketiga lebih tinggi dibanding pada regrowth kedua.

This study aimed to determine the morphological characteristics, and biomass production of Panicum coloratum cv. Bambatsi, Digitaria eriantha cv. Premier, and Brachiaria decumbens which were planted in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The seed plants are from Cropmark Seed Company. The seeds of Panicum coloratum cv. Bambatsi, Digitaria eriantha cv. Premier, and Brachiaria decumbens were planted in a plot (1m2) and each plant was repeated 3 times. Biomass production is taken from the third harvest production (second regrowth) and fourth harvest production (third regrowth). Panicum coloratum cv. Bambatsi biomass production in the second regrowth is 1.06 tons/ha (DM), with dry matter content 23.29%, organic matter content 89.65% and in the third regrowth has biomass production 1.47 tons/ha (DM) with dry matter content of 24.03%, organic matter content 90.08%. Digitaria eriantha cv. Premier biomass production in the second regrowth is 1.94 tons/ha (DM) with dry matter content 26.72%, organic matter content 89.79%, and in the third regrowth has biomass production 2.22 tons/ha (DM) with dry matter content 26.95%, organic matter content 90.05%. Brachiaria decumbens biomass production in the second regrowth is 4.59 tons/ha (DM) with dry matter content of 23.86%, organic matter content 89.71%, and in the third regrowth has biomass production of 5.54 tons/ha (DM) with dry matter content 24.82%, organic matter content 89.89%. The conclusion obtained from this study is Brachiaria decumbens have the highest production compared to Panicum coloratum cv. Bambatsi, Digitaria eriantha cv. Premiere.
