PERUBAHAN BOBOT BADAN DAN BODY CONDITION SCORE PADA SAPI FRIESIAN HOLSTEIN MID LAKTASI DENGAN SUPLEMENTASI BUNGKIL KEDELAI TERPROTEKSI

2019 | Skripsi | S1 ILMU DAN INDUSTRI PETERNAKANPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pakan dengan rumen undegraded protein terhadap pertambahan bobot badan dan body condition score sapi perah Friesian Holstein (FH) mid laktasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Balai Besar Pembibitan Ternak Unggul dan Hijauan Pakan Ternak (BBPTU-HPT) Baturraden Purwokerto pada bulan Agustus sampai Desember 2018. Sepuluh ekor sapi perah FH mid laktasi dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok, tiap kelompok terdiri dari 5 ekor, yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan. Pakan yang diberikan adalah hijauan dan konsentrat dengan perbandingan 50:50 dalam bahan kering (BK). Pengambilan data dilakukan mulai pada 90 hari setelah partus (fase mid laktasi). Pemberian minum dilakukan secara ad libitum. Kelompok kontrol mendapatkan konsentrat dengan kandungan BK 88,33%, protein kasar (PK) 20,55%, dan total digestible nutrient (TDN) 71,85%, sedangkan kelompok perlakuan mendapatkan konsentrat dengan kandungan BK 88,65%, PK 20,06%, dan TDN 69,69% dengan suplementasi bungkil kedelai terproteksi 60 g/kg produksi susu. Variabel yang diamati berupa komposisi nutrien bahan pakan, konsumsi pakan, perubahan bobot badan dan body condition score. Data yang diperoleh diantara kedua kelompok dianalisis dengan Uji Independent Sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi BK dan bahan organik (BO), konsumsi PK, konsumsi serat kasar (SK), serta konsumsi TDN antara kedua menunjukkan perbedaan (P<0,05). Nilai konsumsi nutrien masing-masing kelompok antara kontrol dan perlakuan adalah BK (15,41 ± 1,75 vs. 17,32 ± 0,98 kg BK/ekor/hari); BO (13,43 ± 1,51 vs. 14,96 ± 0,86 kg BK/ekor/hari); PK (2,90 ± 0,30 vs. 3,29 ± 0,18 kg BK/ekor/hari); SK (3,36 ± 0,53 vs. 3,67 ± 0,36 kg BK/ekor/hari), dan TDN (9,42 ± 1,04 vs. 10,72 ± 0,62 kg BK/ekor/hari). Perubahan rata-rata bobot badan dan BCS antara kedua kelompok tidak menunjukkan perbedaan (P>0,05). Nilai rata-rata bobot badan masing-masing kelompok adalah (559,10 ± 68,1 vs. 556,80 ± 34,0 kg) dan nilai rata-rata BCS masing-masing kelompok adalah (2,91 ± 0,32 vs. 2,96 ± 0,14). Kesimpulan penelitian ini dapat adalah pemberian pakan dengan rumen undegraded protein pada sapi perah Friesian Holstein mid laktasi meningkatkan konsumsi nutrien pakan tetapi tidak meningkatkan bobot badan dan BCS sapi.
This study was conducted to determine the effect of supplementation of rumen undegraded protein on body weight and body condition score (BCS) performance of mid lactation Friesian Holstein (FH) dairy cows. This research was located in BBPTU-HPT Baturraden Purwokerto from August until December 2018. Ten mid lactation Friesian Holstein (FH) cows were divided into two groups. Five animals were used as a control group and another group as treatment objects. The feed was forages and concentrates with a ratio of 50:50 in dry matter (DM). Data collection was carried out starting 90 days after parturition (mid lactation phase). Water was given by ad libitum. The control group got concentrate with DM 88.33%, crude protein (CP) 20.55%, and total digestible nutrient (TDN) 71.85%, while the treatment group got concentrate with DM 88.65%, CP 20.06%, and TDN 69.69% with supplementation of protected soybean meal protein 60g/kg produced milk. The variable measured were nutrient composition of feed ingredient, feed intake, body weight changes, and BCS. Data obtained between the two groups was analyzed by independent sample t-test analysis. The results showed that consumption of DM and organic matter (OM), CP consumption, crude fiber (CF) consumption, and TDN consumption between the two group were significant different (P<0.05). The value of nutrient consumption of each group was DM (15.41 ± 1.75 vs. 17.32 ± 0.98 kg DM /head/day); OM (13.61 ± 1.51 vs. 15.09 ± 0.85 kg DM/head/day); CP (2.84 ± 0.31 vs. 3.24 ± 0.18 kg DM/head/day); CF (3.50 ± 0.51 vs. 3.78 ± 0.33 kg DM/head/day) and TDN (9.68 ± 1.03 vs. 10.92 ± 0.62 kg DM/head/day). Changes in average body weight and BCS between the two groups showed no significant difference (P> 0.05). The average body weight value of each group was (563.2 ± 68.1 vs. 547.9 ± 34.0 kg) and the average BCS value of each group was (2.91 ± 0.32 vs. 2.96 ± 0.14). The result of this study can be concluded that the feeding with rumen undegraded protein in mid lactation Friesian Holstein (FH) dairy cows increase the consumption of feed nutrients but did not increase body weight and BCS.
