INTISARI 2 Penulisan hukum ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Pengaturan Cagar Budaya dalam peraturan perundang-undangan di Indonesia dan juga penerapan peraturan perundang-undangan pemerintah dalam pengelolaan Cagar Budaya Gedung Pusat UGM. Penulisan Hukum ini berjenis normatif empiris yang berfokus pada tinjauan perlindungan hukum Cagar Budaya guna mengetahui penerapan peraturan perundangundangan tentang Cagar Budaya terhadap pengelolaan Gedung Pusat UGM sebagai salah satu Bangunan Cagar Budaya. Sumber data penulisan ini adalah sumber data primer yang berasal dari wawancara dan sumber data sekunder dari pustaka dan undang-undang Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pihak UGM sudah melaksanakan pengelolaan Gedung Pusat UGM sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku pada saat ini dengan segala kendala yang harus dihadapi, meskipun keterlibatan masyarakat dirasa masih kurang karena ketidakpedulian masyarakat terhadap Gedung Pusat UGM.

ABSTRACT 4 This legal writing aims to find out how the Cultural Properties Management in the Law in Indonesia as well as the application of government regulation in the management and preservation of the Cultural Properties. This legal writing is empirical normative that focus in legal review for cultural properties protection to understand the implementation of the law about cultural properties toward management of Central Building of Gadjah Mada University as one of cultural properties. The source of the data is primary data that come from interview and the secondary come from literature and act The result of this research show that the Gadjah Mada Univesity have already done a Cultural Property Management according to the regulation that applied this day with the obstacle that lies beyound them, eventhough the participation of the people still lacking because the ignorance of the common people toward the Central Building of Gadjah Mada Univesity
