Rancang Bangun Aplikasi Ujian Tugas Akhir Berbasis Outcome Based Assessment Dari Sisi User Experience dan Usability

Sistem informasi ujian tugas akhir adalah sebuah sistem yang berfungsi untuk mengatur perencanaan dan pelaksanaan ujian tugas akhir secara online. Ssitem informasi ujian tugas akhir juga bisa mencetak berkas hasil ujian secara otomatis. Saat ini, masih ada beberapa pihak yang belum mengimplementasikan sistem ini dan masih menggunakan sistem yang konvensional. Salah satu pihak tersebut adalah Departemen Teknik Elektro dan Teknologi Informasi, Fakultas Teknik Universitas Gadjah Mada (DTETI UGM). Proses pelaksanaan ujian tugas akhir konvensional masih menggunakan kertas dengan jumlah yang banyak serta memiliki kerentanan dalam penyesuaian data nilai, komentar serta revisi ujian tersebut. Skripsi ini menjelaskan tentang penyelesaian masalah ujian pendadaran di DTETI UGM dengan merancang bangun aplikasi berbasis website untuk ujian tugas akhir yang berbasis Outcome-Based Assessment (OBA) dengan fokus utama pada sisi pengalaman pengguna atau user experience. Topik yang coba diatasi adalah peningkatan pengalaman pengguna untuk pihak staf akademik khususnya di dalam proses perubahan data pada berkas hasil ujian tugas akhir yang telah dicetak serta proses penambahan dosen penguji apabila terdapat dosen penguji yang berhalangan hadir ketika ujian pendadaran. Permasalahan yang lain adalah penggunaan kertas dalam proses bisnis ujian pendadaran yang memiliki kerentanan terhadap ketidaklengkapan dan kekeliruan penilaian untuk pihak dosen serta menjadi beban lebih bagi pihak mahasiswa dalam pencetakan berkas baik berupa biaya, waktu, maupun usaha. Hasil dari tugas akhir ini adalah terciptanya aplikasi berbasis website yang menangani proses bisnis ujian tugas akhir di DTETI UGM dengan menggunakan konsep aplikasi Single Page Application yang responsif pada sisi pengguna dan REST API pada sisi server. Aplikasi yang dirancang juga memerhatikan sisi pengalaman pengguna dengan skor kebergunaan 70,75 dalam System Usability Scale agar memastikan proses yang baru membawa kemudahan dan manfaat dibandingkan proses yang sebelumnya.

Thesis examination information system is a functional system for controlling the scheduling and execution of thesis examination via online. Thesis examination information system is also able to print thesis examination result document automatically. At the time, there are several parties that have not implement this system and still using conventional system. One of those parties is Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Faculty of Engineering Universitas Gadjah Mada (DTETI UGM). The process of conventional thesis examination is still using a lot amount of papers and also has susceptibilities in adjustment of assessment, comments and revision data of the corresponding thesis. This thesis is about creating a solution to solve problems within thesis examination process at DTETI UGM with the creation and implementation of outcome-based assessment (OBA) web application for thesis examination with the focus of user experience aspect. The topic which is trying to be solved are making an improvement for academic staff especially in the process of handling constant data changes on thesis examination result documents which has been printed and also the difficulties of adding a lecturer which act as a examiner in thesis examination when there is one or more examiners happen to be not available during the scheduled thesis examination. Other problems are the usage of papers in the business process of thesis examination which has susceptibilities of incomplete or mistakes for the examiners, which leads to a problem for students doing more printing and it will be more costly in the context of money, time and effort. The result of this thesis is a web application which can help the business process of thesis examination at DTETI UGM with the help of responsive Single Page Application concept on the users side. and REST API on the server side. The developed application also considers the aspect of user experience with a usability score of 70.75 based on System Usability Scale to make sure that the new process is able to bring easiness and benefit compared to the older process.
