Rancang Bangun Aplikasi Ujian Tugas Akhir Berbasis Outcome Based Assessment Dari Sisi Perancangan Business Logic dan Front-End

Aplikasi ujian tugas akhir merupakan aplikasi yang menangani proses bisnis ujian tugas akhir atau skripsi secara daring. Aplikasi ujian tugas akhir melayani mulai dari pendaftaran ujian hingga pelaksanaan ujian dan pencetakan berkas hasil ujian tugas akhir. Saat ini, terdapat beberapa pihak yang masih menggunakan sistem konvensional yang belum menggunakan aplikasi untuk mempermudah dalam pelaksanaannya. Salah satu pihak tersebut adalah Departemen Teknik Elektro dan Teknologi Informasi, Fakultas Teknik Universitas Gadjah Mada (DTETI UGM). Proses pelaksanaan ujian tugas akhir konvensional masih menggunakan kertas dengan jumlah yang sangat banyak yang memiliki banyak kerentanan pada kekeliruan dalam penyesuaian data nilai, komentar serta revisi ujian tersebut serta menjadi beban lebih dari sisi biaya, waktu, maupun usaha yang digunakan. Skripsi ini menjelaskan tentang penyelesaian masalah ujian tugas akhir atau pendadaran di DTETI UGM dengan merancang bangun aplikasi berbasis website untuk menangani ujian tugas akhir yang berbasis Outcome-Based Assessment (OBA). Permasalahan yang diatasi adalah kesulitan pihak akademik dalam menangani perubahan data pada berkas hasil ujian akhir yang telah dicetak serta proses menambah dosen penguji apabila terdapat dosen penguji yang berhalangan hadir ketika ujian pendadaran. Permasalahan yang lain adalah penggunaan kertas dalam proses bisnis ujian pendadaran yang memiliki kerentanan terhadap ketidaklengkapan dan kekeliruan penilaian yang diberikan oleh dosen serta menjadi beban lebih bagi mahasiswa pada proses pencetakan berkas baik berupa biaya, waktu, maupun usaha. Hasil dari tugas akhir ini adalah terciptanya aplikasi berbasis website dengan konsep Single Page Application yang menangani proses bisnis ujian tugas akhir di DTETI UGM dan interaksi pengguna saat melakukan pengujian tugas akhir secara responsif didukung dengan penggunaan REST API pada sisi server untuk interaksi data.

Thesis examination application is an application that has a function of handling the management and operational of thesis examination via online. This application handles the business process of thesis examination from registration and scheduling to examining process and exam result document printing. At the time, there are some that have not implement this system and still using conventional system which not using application for ease yet. One of those is Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada (DTETI UGM). The process of conventional thesis examination is still using a lot amount of papers and also has susceptibilities in adjustment of assessment, comments and revision data of the corresponding thesis and also will be costlier in the context of money, time and effort. This thesis is about creating a contribution to solve problems within thesis examination at DTETI UGM with the creation and implementation of outcome-based assessment (OBA) web application for thesis examination. The problems which is trying to be solved are the difficulties that academic staff experienced in handling constant data changes on thesis examination result documents which has been printed and also the difficulties of adding a lecturer which act as a examiner in thesis examination when there is one or more examiners happen to be not available during the scheduled thesis examination. Besides, the usage of papers in the business process of thesis examination which has susceptibilities of incomplete or mistakes in assessment from the examiners, which leads to the students doing more printing and it will be more costly for students in the context of money, time and effort. The result of this thesis is a single page application website which handles the business process of thesis examination at DTETI UGM and user interaction responsively supported with REST API on the server side for data interaction.
