IMPROVEMENT PENYIMPANAN MATERIAL PADA WORKSHOP DI DEPARTEMEN FABRIKASI PT INKA

Proses pengelolaan material merupakan salah satu elemen penting dalam proses produksi di PT INKA selaku perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri kereta api. Berdasarkan data internal PT INKA untuk memenuhi pesanan proyek dalam negeri maupun luar negeri, kebutuhan material sangat krusial sebagai nafas berjalannya proses produksi. Akan tetapi terdapat masalah tentang tidak terdapat standar operational prosedur dalam identifikasi material dan ketersediaan material di dalam workshop. Oleh karena itu dalam penelitian ini membahas mengenai tentang identifikasi pengkontrolan material dengan SOP dan melakukan improvement pada alat pendukunnya. Terdapat urutan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini. Pertama melakukan pengamatan tentang alur pengelolaan material. Kedua menganalisa permasalahan yang ada dengan konsep lean manufacturing. Ketiga mendiskripsikan penyelesaian masalah dengan menggunakan diagram sebab akibat. Dan ke empat mengolah hasil penyelesaian untuk diperbaiki dengan membuat pengembangan inovasi dan mengujinya. Hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah beberapa rancangan improvement mengenai proses inventaris material, yaitu: 1.Membuat dan memberlakukan prosedur alurnya di dalam workshop; 2.Modifikasi untuk area penyimpanan material di setiap workshop; 3.Memaksimalkan fasilitas sistem identifkasi material pada mesin barcode. Dari ketiga upaya diatas harus diimplementasikan secara bersamaan agar didapatkan solusi yang lebih efektif dan efisien.

The process of material management is one of the important elements in the production process at PT INKA as a company engaged in manufacturing the railways. Based on PT INKA's internal data, in fulfilling domestic and foreign project orders, material needs are crucial as the breath of the production process. However, there have problem is not Standart Operating Procedure(SOP) in the identification & aviability of the material in the workshop. Therefore, this study ains to identify the SOP of material handling and to improve the supporting equipment. There were some steps conducted in this study. First to made observations rule of handling material in the workshop. Second to did an analyzed of the problems with used the lean manufacturing concept. Third to described problem solving with used the diagram cause effect. And fourth to processed the result of solution to have repairing by making inovation improvement and trails error. The results of this research shows here are some improvement draft about the process of inventroy material, namely: 1.Creating and enforcing the flow procedure in the workshop; 2.Modifying to material storage areas in each workshop; 3.Maximizing the material Identification System facility on the barcode machine. The above three efforts must be implemented simultaneously in order to obtain more effective and efficient solutions.
