Pengaruh Level Probiotik Dalam Air Minum Terhadap Performans Ayam Kampung Super

Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan memelihara ayam selama 62 hari di kandang litter koloni. Kandang litter koloni berukuran 1,5 x 1 m, diisi 20 ekor ayam tiap sekat kadang. Ayam yang dipelihara sebanyak 240 ekor, umur 13 sampai 62 hari, diberikan perlakuan penambahan probiotik pada air minum dengan level probiotik 0,5; 1,0; dan 1,5 ml/l air minum. Masing-masing perlakuan direplikasi sebanyak tiga kali, dimana 20 ekor ayam digunakan tiap replikasi. Variabel yang diamati adalah performans ayam yang terdiri dari konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan, dan konversi pakan. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah variansi pola searah dan beda antar perlakuan diuji dengan Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketa hui bahwa penambahan probiotik pada air minum ayam kampung super dengan variasi level tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan, dan konversi pakan ayam kampung super. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah probiotik dapat digunakan sampai level 1,5 ml/l air minum tanpa menurunkan performans ayam kampung super .
This study aimed to find out the influence of probiotic on native chicken performance. Method which used in this study was by keeping 240 native chicken for 62 days in colony litter cage. The colony litter cage was 1 .5 x 1 m2 with 20 chickens in each cage, chicken age 13 until 62 days old was given probiotic in their drinking water with level 0.5; 1.0; and 1.5 ml/l drinking water. Each treatment had three replications, which were 20 chickens each replication. Chicken performance analyzed was consisted of feed consumption, body weight gain, and feed conversion. Data was analyzed using one way design, and difference between treatment tested by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Based on this study was known that, addition of probiotic in the drinking water of native chicken with different dosage did not influence the feed consumption, body weight gain, and feed conversion. In conclusion, addition of probiotic up to level 1.5 ml/l into native chicken drinking water did not low their performance.
